  Good location and good service

  Liked: The location was perfect, I can reach the Metro easy, close to historic places, restaurants, etc.

  hidden gem in the heart of the city

  Liked: had an amazing stay at ateneo puerta del sol! the front desk staff provided great service and were incredibly attentive throughout our stay. the room was extremely clean and the perfect size for me and my friend. the high ceilings and balcony overlooking the street were definitely our favorite features. we also loved how everything was within walking distance, which made exploring madrid so easy and convenient. overall, we had a great experience.

  Disliked: the only minor issue was the bathroom sink, which would spill water quite easily. the bowl was very shallow and circular, and even a slight lift of the handle caused a strong flow of water, making it easy for it to spill out.

  Great location, good value, good breakfast

  Liked: Excellent location, steps from either Puerta del Sol and Gran Via metro stations.

  Disliked: Location, staff, good breakfast. Rooms in 4th floor are not as comfortable.

  Too pricey! Not good if you want to relax!

  Liked: The location and the stuff.

  Disliked: The bed was not Comfortable and it was really noisy during the night. The windows are not soundproof.

  Liked: Perfect location to explore the city. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. We arrived very early and very exhausted in the morning after a long haul flight and the lovely lady at the front desk arranged an early check in. I do not remember her name, but it was the Spanish equivalent of ‘Iris’. She also gave us a lot of her time explaining how to get to the various places we wanted to visit. Much appreciated!

  Disliked: A tad outdated- could do with some refurbishment.
