Liked: Excellent location - very helpful staff

I needed a last minute hotel in Madrid for 4 nights. It was high season and I chose Axel based on the price and location
Liked: The room was comfortable and quiet. Location central.
Disliked: I felt the decor was dark. Black walls are not my taste. Corridors were dark. Breakfast was disappointing.
Liked: Pool though limited time to use Location I liked the room
Disliked: Moody stuff, charged for too many breakfasts
Comfortable stay right in the middle of the city
Liked: The room was great to be honest. The bed was super comfortable and the room was a good size. The shower was hot and powerful enough to make us happy! And the location - God it's in the middle of Mardrid!! Honestly you can get anywhere from this hotel. Also the gym is quiet and quite well equiped. We had a good time.
Disliked: The shower and bathroom were glass with no sound barriers. This can make things a little awkward and means you have practically no privacy. The mini-bar also charges you before you've actually used the item too - I just wanted to store my sandwich man!
