  Beautiful location with the palace right out your window

  Liked: The location is absolutely fabulous. Nice touches in the room that gave us a calming respite after a long day of travel. Bakery around the corner and a great place to start your journey to the palace.

  Disliked: Mixed reviews of staff ranging from extremely warm and welcoming to not wanting to be bothered. Trees could be trimmed as they obstructed views.

  Lovely location near the palace

  Liked: Location was wonderful and we could could walk to many sites and parks.

  Disliked: The large wall clock in the room needed batteries and did not work. it was very high and although we reported it it was never fixed. The hairdryer outlet in the bathroom did not work. The windows in the room were skylights and you were not able to look outside to see the view that was advertised. It was hard to even tell if it was raining.

  A great hotel in an excellent location near the Royal Palace, Royal Theater, and tons of restaurants

  Liked: Location. Location. Location. As the name implies, Central Palace Madrid is a stone's throw from the Royal Palace in Madrid. It's location made it quite easy to walk to Madrid's gathering spots such as the Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. On the way there are many bars, restaurants, entertainments venues, and shops. In fact, there are two restaurants just outside the front door of the hotel. We were never more than fifteen minutes from a tapas bar. The staff at Central Palace Madrid was very helpful and friendly. They gave us recommendations, answered our questions, and booked taxis when we needed them. Overall, a great place from which to explore highlights of Madrid.

  Disliked: It's an older building. So, the floors in our room were a bit creaky. On the other hand, the monstrous size of our room, which is actually more like a large suite, and the well appointed bathroom more than made up for the creaky floors. The elevator was tiny. Again, it's an older building, and they had to squeeze the elevator where they could (in the formerly open shaft in the middle of the spiraling staircase so common in Europe).
