  Disliked: Very disappointing experience and extremely poor value for money. The apartment was average at best, overpriced, smelled strongly of chemicals, had terrible Wi-Fi, and an outdated TV that didn't even work. For the price they charge, you'd expect them to invest at least a little in basic maintenance. The worst part was the bathroom door, which was broken and actually trapped people inside twice! Later that night, it shut completely and we couldn't open it, leaving us without access to a bathroom for the entire night. We called multiple emergency numbers with no response, and someone only came to unlock it late the following morning. To make matters worse, the staff were rude and unhelpful in the chat. Completely unacceptable service for such an expensive accommodation. Definitely wouldn't recommend staying here.

  Liked: Great location and very comfortable apartment Positive: * Excellent location — most attractions are within a 10–30 minute walk, in a beautiful neighbourhood. * Clean, spacious and very well-equipped apartment with absolutely everything we needed. * Very comfortable bed and pillows — the best we had during our trip. * Beautiful view from the apartment. * Plenty of towels, dishes, coffee and all necessary kitchen appliances and machines. * Reception in the building adds an extra sense of safety and comfort. * Very pleasant atmosphere and overall feeling in the apartment. Negative: * Early check-in was not possible, although the listing suggested otherwise. * The reception staff were quite unfriendly and unhelpful when we asked about leaving our luggage while waiting for check-in, especially as the owner was not responding at that moment. * Check-in was delayed by an additional 30 minutes, despite the standard check-in already being at 3 PM. * The nearest grocery store is about a 10-minute walk away, so it is not very convenient to quickly buy food or drinks when needed. Overall: We would still recommend this apartment, especially for its excellent location, comfort, cleanliness, beautiful view and great facilities.

  Liked: I liked staying in the Colón Suite with my family because its strategic location made everything easily accessible. We also enjoyed an excellent top‑floor view that added a special touch to our stay. The front desk staff were consistently courteous, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. The area felt secure at all times, which provided additional peace of mind. The property was very clean and well maintained, and the overall environment was pleasant and inviting.

  Spacious, centric apartment with air conditioning

  Liked: The location is excellent, the apartment is spacious and the views are impressive. Also the air conditioning worked well in the apartment which kept us cool during the summer heat of Madrid. The host were also very flexible with the checkout time.

  Disliked: The facilities of the apartment, while functional, are a bit dated. It was also relatively challenging to find the correct buttons to turn on all the different lights (it took us two days to understand how they work). Communication with the host was sometimes rather slow, and I had to call Booking.com customer service to get an answer from the host on our requests.

  Sewage smell made our stay less than good. They said offered me no rebate or compensation

  Liked: Great location. Spacious room with good view.

  Disliked: Sewer smell coming from bathroom about two thirds of our 6 night stay.
