You get what you pay for

Liked: The best thing about this property is the location, In calle Maria de Molina (with Serrano very close by), a very posh area, close to a couple of museums and the American embasy, if you have to do BUSSINESS in the area, is a good option.

Disliked: The apartament is SIGNIFICANTLY more worn down than the photos lead to believe. The distribution is weird, so you will have problems if you carry large luggage (say, two 23Kg pieces or more). Also, the chairs available are super-unconfortable, so do not expect to do much work on your laptop, or extended dinners. Some reviewers speak about a "DJ neighbour". Not true, is just some young students living next door who like reaguetton and electronica. If you speak Spanish: ¡Self invite to their parties like I did and enjoy! While not facing Maria de Molina propper, most of the noise from vehicles in such an important street will enter the apartment anyway... Also, while the aircon unit works, the distribution of the apartment makes it so that the bed area will be hotter than the "TV/dinner/sofa" area. I do not know how to explain it, but you will know if you rent this unit.

Great location, but noise, cleanliness issues, and a host who was not understanding our travel delay

Disliked: The apartment had a strong, persistent cigarette smell throughout. On top of that, a neighbor (apparently a DJ) played very loud music on Friday and Saturday nights, making it feel like a nightclub and making it impossible to rest. The place was also not very clean, which added to the discomfort. Communication with the host was disappointing. When our train was delayed (from 2 pm to 3 pm), she was not comprehensive and was quite demanding, even though check-in is scheduled from 3 pm to 6 pm. At check-out, she insisted on meeting us at 11:00, but never showed up. We waited for her and were eventually told to leave the keys under the front door mat. While the location is excellent, it’s not worth staying here due to the noise, cleanliness issues, and unpleasant smell.
