  DONT STAY HERE

  Liked: N/A

  Disliked: They made it very unclear on the booking as to what this place was. You have to stay with the family and they also have an aggressive and loud dog. I am trying to get a refund from booking.com but it is proving very hard.

  Cheap, comfortable, great hosts

  Liked: Good room and vibe. Honest hosts that don't interfere much with the comings and goings of their guests. Good chill room to rest.

  Disliked: The location is a ways away from anything remarkable other than atocha station, but that's the price you pay to stay for cheap in the city.

  Overall the stay was very good

  Liked: No breakfast included. The room was a good size comfy bed fridge in room, bathroom was very nice & clean overall it was a good stay.

  Disliked: I was a little unsure of the dog in the apartment.

  The owners family and dog were EXTREMELY LOUD during the middle of the night

  Liked: Good location

  Disliked: Owners family played extremely loud music during the middle of the night. The owner also had a dog, who barked from 9pm to 4am. We were not able to sleep because of this.

  Disliked: My stay here was very disappointing and far from what I expected. The staff was disrespectful and unhelpful, which made the whole experience uncomfortable from the start. On top of that, there was constant noise throughout the night, making it nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep. The atmosphere didn’t feel welcoming at all, and I honestly couldn’t relax during my stay. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone visiting Madrid — there are many better options where you’ll be treated with respect and can actually rest in peace

  Terrible Experience! Unacceptable restrictions were only revealed after I made a non-refundable pay!

  Liked: The only thing I liked was the location - very convenient, close to the downtown and to the metro station.

  Disliked: The property description on Booking.com gave the impression of more flexible access to the apartment’s facilities than what was actually allowed. After booking, the owner sent me a message detailing the rules, which contradicted the listing — particularly the restrictions on using the kitchen and leaving personal items in the bathroom (this one was really strange, not even a toothbrush). And all these I came to know when I made my non-refundable payment. This is not acceptable at all!! In a few words, here's what I can say about my stay. 1. We were only allowed to use my bedroom and private bathroom, despite the Booking.com description and photos giving the impression that shared spaces like the living room were accessible for guests to enjoy. We weren’t even allowed to leave personal belongings in the bathroom — not even a toothbrush. As for the kitchen, access was limited to just the coffee maker and kettle. The owner "generously" placed two cups in our room — clearly so we wouldn’t touch anything else in the kitchen. The gesture felt so disrespectful and humiliating that we chose not to use them at all. 2. The owner had a dog that barked constantly whenever she was gone, which was most of the day and into the night. The guests were told not to make noise after 11 PM, but somehow it was okay to disturb the guests. 3. Regularly, the owner had loud guests over until 2–3 AM, which made it hard to relax and sleep. 4. The apartment was freezing cold with no heating provided. 5. There was no way to communicate with the owner - she spoke only Spanish and could not understand a word of English. 6. To top it off, she made us wait outside for 30 minutes when we arrived at 8:30 PM, even though she claimed late check-in started at 9 PM.
