  Nice place, modest, clean, comfortable, and central - but streetside rooms too noisy

  Liked: Rooms were pleasant, modest but clean, and location very convenient - only 15 min walk (uphill) from Atocha Station, 10 min walk to Prado, many restaurants and bakeries nearby.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, our rooms were on the street side of the building, with lots of noise from traffic, construction, and early-morning trash collection; one room was next to another room where there was a noisy party at 3 am. We had reservations for a week later but canceled them when the hotel was unable to provide quieter rooms away from from the street.

  Extremely enjoyable for sure

  Liked: Very basic but spotlessly clean. Also conveniently next to Metro station and local amenities. Highly recommended.

  Disliked: It was hard to find as the signage is so small. I actually walked past it two or three times before I spotted the hotel sign.

  Perfect for no-frills but comfortable, reasonably priced stay in a great location

  Liked: Good location for walking to major sights like the Prado museum, for public transport, and for cafes, restaurants and markets. For one person, the double room was a decent size, quiet, cheerful decor, nice sidestreet view.

  Disliked: Pre-arrival message requiring registration indicated an access code would be sent but no code or instructions for initial access were sent on how to get into the building or what to do on arrival. A phone call quickly solved this momentary inconvenience.
