  Liked: location

  Disliked: I don’t know if the problem lies with the hotel or with Madrid itself. I paid 110 euros for the hotel, yet the services I received were not worth more than 20 euros. There was extreme stinginess—no water, no coffee, nothing at all; just a bed to sleep in, and of a very poor standard. Perhaps the issue is that everything is just too expensive.

  Clean and comfortable, great location, exceptional and kind service

  Liked: Great communication, great location, exceptional service, EXTREMELY clean and comfortable. This gem is very centrally located in an absolutely gorgeous historic building. Javier is a gracious host and was so helpful at check in, providing a map to point out where we were in relation to all the points of interest and even giving recommendations for places to eat. This was one of my favorite stays during my time in Spain.

  Super good location,the most important is that it’s a lovely hostel and the boss is super nice and provides lots of usef

  Absolutely wonderful. Hope to be back

  Liked: the hosts were very helpful and ready to assist with any enquiry. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was firm contributing a good night's sleep. Location was fabulous, central close to many restaurants yet quiet.

  Disliked: A small fridge in the room would be useful, but that said, the hosts offered the use of their fridge if we needed to keep drinks cold.

  Quiet comfortable night in Madrid

  Liked: Clean, quiet, comfortable bed, great water pressure in shower. From the front door you climb about 4 steps to the tiny lift which tales you up 3 floors to the hostal. Owner at the desk was super friendly and responsive (I phones him from the front door because I was having trouble with the entry, and he cam right down to help me). All the rooms have windows facing an interior courtyard so very quiet with no street noise! Plenty of restaurants in walking distance.

  Disliked: Wish it had been a little less expensive
