100% recommended! Staff, location, buffet breakfast, everything was great

Liked: 100% recommended! Staff, location, buffet breakfast, everything was great. I definitely will choose this place next. Hotel staff were attentive and helpful. I travel to Barcelona and they kept my baggages without any cost because I stayed at the beginning and in the end of my trip. The staff helped me call a big taxi because I had 2 big baggages and 3 carry on, which cost me 33 euros, because the uber cars were small and I didn’t want to choose a van that costs 45 euros. My flight was late, so after I check out the hotel, I had the chance to stay in their spacious living room and rest in the sofa. The breakfast is excellent, they have coffee, hams, bread, fruits, it’s complete. I stayed in the quadruple family room with a big bathtub, a shower room a part, and it was very nice. Photos are taken in 0,5 so everything would be visible. The location is very centric, infront of the Real Theater, and 5 minutes walking to the Real Palace. In the same hotel there is a restaurant. Also diagonal to the hotel there are Asian restaurants, Tokyo and Gayagum which was tasty.

Disliked: A bit pricey to me but it was worth it.

I highly recommend Hotel Opera to anyone visiting Madrid, exceptional value for money

Liked: The location was perfect for a stay in Madrid, very close to the Royal Palace and Cathedral as well as the magnificent gardens below these 2 buildings. Very close to many of the main attractions of the city with a short walk to the nearest metro station for anything else. The room was very well appointed with comfortable beds, the ensuite was great, good shower and all the goodies one could want, toiletries, towells, etc,. All of the staff were exceptional and went out of their way to look after us. Our room had an opening widow which we particularly like in a hotel room. The rooms were very quiet which was amazing given our second night was on the Spanish National Day and hundreds of thousand people were out and about all day and most of the night.

    Disliked: Nothing.

    Neutral

Liked: Rooms are extremely small. The bathroom was great. Facilities like the gym were poor. However, breakfast was good, and the staff was really good. The restaurant was okay; it should have more variety in the menu.

Disliked: The room size and better gym equipment.

    Great Location, but Uncomfortable Beds

    Liked: Located near tourist spots

Disliked: The mattress and bed springs are worn out, causing them to squeak, and the bed is so soft that it causes back discomfort.
