I travelled alone and felt this was a really great option - nice and clean and greated location

Liked: The room was small but very modern and clean and I really appreciated how well it functioned. Really good location just a few streets back from main entertainment area with loads of bars and restaurants nearby and I was able to walk to Prado museum. I needed help with a few things and the staff were really lovely. Its an Ikea style of accommodation and really neat and tidy. Easy for Taxi's to find and desk was attended 24 hours.

Disliked: A solid block out blind on window would be a good idea

Liked: The breakfast was good, there was a wide range of various foods, but the vegetarian and vegan could have been richer.

Disliked: I pre-booked (and pre-paid) a single room including breakfast. Only late in the evening on the first day did I find my room did not have a real window - only a quasi-window into some (allegedly unused) staircase, with no daylight whatsover. As a result, the room felt made me feel somewhat claustrophobic, which I resolved by moving to a double room with a real window facing the street. I understand that an upgrade costs something and I was ready to pay the extra 30 EUR per night (i.e. 90 EUR for the remaining 3 nights of my stay there). However, what I did not understand was why, all of sudden, I had to pay for three more breakfast (15 EUR each, altogether 45 EUR), although I had already pre-paid a room with breakfast included. I thought this was really unprofessional and unfair, simply a rip-off, maybe a fraud from the side of the receptionist, even? All in all, I paid 135 EUR extra for a window, though I had alread paid some 500 EUR for four night before. Yeah, what a rip-off! The only good thing about this hotel was the location, but that could not at all outweight my otherwise bad impression... So, my advice is - avoid this place. I am sure you can find hotels of better value in Madrid...

    Would recommend to a friend

Liked: overall cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast excellent also.

Disliked: Unfortunately the fly in the ointment occurred on the last night as there was a lot of noise like a generator on and off and banging. We were on first floor close to lift. Might be worth checking that out.

Liked: Best location to explore the city center, animated but not loud, wonderful room with the wineland themes, bright colors!
