    Meh

Liked: Very good location, I mostly walked to places (around 30 minutes to main touristy bits). Bus stop nearly right outside, so also handy. Atmosphere was very meh. Gabriel and David were lovely and helpful though. Very small common area. "No speakers" notice hanging on the wall, but not upheld, so for me not enjoyable to use the common space at all. It was clean right after cleaning, but the bathroom adjasent to my room was very dirty by the morning (mostly hair on the floor). More regular cheks would be useful. The shower room had very poor design - high hanging rainshower, splattering everywhere, no bath matt and super slippery floor - dangerous. Area with sink annoying as the water tap kept stopping every 3 seconds (you needed to push it for the water), needs fixing. Soap dispenser awkward and hard to use. Hairdryier worked one day, the next day was broken. The automatic light sensors are placed too far and the light went off all the time while using the space. Toilet good. The room itself was the smallest I have ever seen with hardly any space in between the two rows of beds. My locker had broken hinges and made a lot of noise. The lamp in my unit was moving on the wall and sometimes switching on and off providing a disco effect. I booked an option with breakfast. The breakfast was ok, lots of variety of products, but all low quality. Very weak coffee. I would not book the breakfast again. I would not book the hostel again. Again, the crew David and Gabriel very good people.

All in all a nice enough stay. Basic. Inexpensive. Bedding provided & sockets by bed. Location ok

Liked: Convenience & price & availability. I liked the area.

Disliked: No real kitchen. Not v social. Bit far out but not too bad. Quite a way from bus station on foot so got metro & then a walk. The top bunks are high up & quite a hike to get up the ladder for us little people

Quiet clean pleace to spend a night in madrid

Liked: The place was clean and quiet to have a good night rest.

Disliked: There was no proper place to leave our backpacks after checkout—only the area near the entrance, among the tables and furniture. During some afternoon hours, there is no one available to watch the bags, which is inconvenient if you want to explore the city. The space feels quite cluttered, with table and furnitures in every corner. It seems as though they are maximizing the space for profit. There is also no proper kitchen; instead, breakfast is the lounge area. The layout feels a little cramped and slightly claustrophobic, but it is still acceptable overall. The same applies to bedroom. Debates are comfortable in private and. With all that you need to charge your electronics.

    Peaceful, comfy, easy

Liked: I was pleastly surprised with Petit Hostel La Latina, after having to flee my original hostel (due to men being creepy) I spontaneously booked this one as they offer female only dorms. The beds were so comfy! The curtain really made it feel private and the storage drawers were easy to use, spacious and didn’t make a lot of noise. I felt really safe there as a female solo traveller and would stay again. The location is quiet and right near some great food spots which I preferred to the busy city centre hostels, very close to the tube station so easy to get about.

Disliked: The washing machines were out of order for my whole stay and our toilet stopped flushing and when a staff member was alerted, it broke soon after. So I think some general upkeep on facilities would help.
