Exceptional
Liked: Centrally located
Disliked: Room clean up could have been better. So so breakfast
Good location but expensive for the service you get
Liked: Location was good
Disliked: Rooms were dark, you had to pay extra for the pool, the breakfast was chaos with one poor lady having to do all the work.
A stay in Madrid near the Art Museums
Liked: Excellent location, a few minutes from the Prado, Reina Sofia and The Thyssen. Excellent breakfast.
Disliked: The (standard) room did not have a view - I think it faced a (wall)!?
Convienent
Liked: This hotel is a very short walk from the Prado and other wonderful Madrid museums. Because of this, I was willing to pay what was about 500 a night. The staff was wonderful and the location was superb. There were many places in walking distance for food. A great coffee shop right next door and tapas and bars everywhere. Our room was quiet and comfortable
Disliked: The hotel needs an upgrade. There was chipped paint in the room. The thermostat did not work so well and it was loose on the wall. It needed to be secured. The curtains and carpets looked a little tired. Breakfast was served in the hotel but it cost about $23 for a buffet. A little expensive my wife and I since we are minimalist eaters for breakfast.
Liked: Been staying here once a year for several days over last four years. Love the location and staff. As indicated in my previous reviews this hotel is starting to show its age with deteriorating tile grout, carpet wear, etc. We might be able to overlook these issues but with the price of some rooms in the $400 to $600 per night range - it might be time to find another “luxury” hotel in Madrid.
Great location, a very good area for bars and restaurants
Liked: Location was fantastic, breakfast was very good
Disliked: The air conditioning in the room didn’t work which made sleeping difficult.
