  The only decent point is the location

  Liked: The location is ok. Close to a parking, restaurants nearby, easy access to the metro.

  Disliked: After you book they send you an email with a long list of rules and warnings as to what you’ll have to pay if you do this or that wrong (which isn’t very welcoming), and they also state that there is brand new air conditioning in the property… and when you arrive at the flat, what you’ll find are portable air conditioners that make more noise than a plane taking off, making it impossible to sleep properly (and you have to keep the window open to let the pipe out – they tell you there is a "kit" to stop the outside air coming back in… it doesn't work). These are only in the bedrooms; the living room has NO air con (and with it being 44 degrees in Madrid, I'll leave you to imagine the heat in there…). Also, we have been WITHOUT WI-FI for the entire stay. We asked for help several times, but they only told us to connect to another flat (that solution didn't work) and said they were speaking to the company… we left 3 days later and nothing had changed. Moving on to the smell from the drains in the kitchen and bathroom… just horrendous. The drain smells will make you struggle going into the bathroom (bathroom which has suffered a major leak from the flat above, and the ceiling is all yellow and peeling). On top of all that, we could mention the half-broken toilet seat, the sticky cutlery, the broken toilet roll holder… We rented this flat in an hurry (the day before arriving, due to unforeseen circumstances) and I thought it was strange that it was still available (with the MadCool festival taking place at the same time, everything else was all booked up). Now I understand why. They set a lot of rules for guests to follow (don't use towels with makeup on, clean before leaving, don’t make noise, tidy the bedrooms etc.), but they don't deliver on what they promise or advertise.

  Liked: I was visiting friends in Madrid and the lived 5 mins walk away so it was perfect for me. I plan to stay again.

  Disliked: The details we were given to access the apartment were confusing and the shower (although very clean) over flowed from a blocked drain.

  Liked: The apartment was clean and we were able to check in sooner than we thought. The apartment was spacious and the bathroom is modern. There was enough cutlery and pots. There was enough closet space in the bedrooms also.

  Disliked: The apartment lacked some amenities, there wasn't any bedding for the sofa bed.
