  Fantastic location, clean, comfortable, quiet and centrally located for touring!

  Liked: The apartment was directly across from Plaza Mayor and a fantastic location. Plaza del Sol Metro was a 5 minute walk away from the apartment. There was a washing machine, mid-sized refrigerator, a two-burner stove, and a decent sized microwave. There was also a tea kettle and a coffee pot. We appreciated all the appliances, but especially the washing machine. The host showed us how to work the washer, so we were able to do some mid-trip laundry! The elevator was small but worked just fine for us and our two small bags. We were on the first (second) floor, but with tired legs from sightseeing, we appreciated the elevator. The apartment was good sized and gave us enough room to relax and spread out a little. When we arrived it was very clean and the host was very helpful in getting us settled in and oriented. Despite being in right across from Plaza Mayor, the room was quiet as the windows did a great job keeping out the noise from the street. The AC system kept the apartment cool and comfortable. My wife appreciated the full-sized hair dryer and the large mirror. The shower was small but adequate and the large fluffy towels were appreciated. There were plenty of room for hang-ups in the closet and several drawers for us to use. There were plenty of places to walk to for food - including breakfast snacks with the Mercado a short distance away and many, many restaurants to choose from. One of the attached photos is of the front door of the apartment from Plaza Mayor through one of the access arches. Great location!

  Disliked: Water pressure in the shower was low, but adequate. The rest of the apartment had good water pressure.

  Cozy stay in Madrod

  Liked: There are so many things to love about this apartment... The location is fantastic if you want to stay in the beating heart of Madrid for tourists... across from La plaza Mayor, around the corner from the famous chocolate and churros place, and walking distance from the Royal Palace and several metro stops... Do remember that when you stay in the center of a city the size of Madrid you should expect city noise though... nothing a good set of air plugs can't take care off. And there are so many cozy things to love about the apartment... lots of hooks to hang things and a nice cabinet temporarily live like you are at home...

  Disliked: There are just a few things that are needed to make this a 10 in my book... a little more info about the apartment.. like maybe in a folder or something, but hopefully others will find this helpful - the remote to turn on the air conditioner is in the drawer of the bedside table. - if the wash machine says 'end' on it just turn it to the 'fin' position to reset it. -if you choose to use the stairs...as I did have the flashlight on your phone ready... the motion detected lights go out quickly and then it is pitch dark... Otherwise enjoy this cozy little apartment in the heart of Madrid

  Disliked: There no sugar to have a coffee, not even a box of tissues were surplied. The bed sheets did not fit the bed correctly. For the price we paid it was inadequet. The location was great.

  Nice, Comfortable Stay in Great Local

  Liked: The space is so cute. It looks a bit different now than what the photos show, but it’s even cuter. The bed is comfy. It’s super central; close to Mercado San Miguel, Plaza Mayor, and Sol. The AC Works great in July heat, just a little loud. And, there’s everything you need to make coffee or snacks for your stay. The bed and pillows are comfy too.
