  Not up to the standard expected for the price

  Liked: Spacious and well-equipped.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, our experience was rather disappointing, particularly considering the price of the apartment and the very strict procedures imposed on guests. We paid €398 for two nights for three people, presented on Booking.com as a last-minute discount from over €600. I also found the same apartment on other platforms for over €500 for the same stay. Therefore, even at €398, we expected a high standard of accommodation. However, we found several cleanliness and maintenance issues: one towel was extremely worn, with frayed edges and holes; the duvet on the sofa bed had a clearly visible stain; and one glass shower door had partially come off its track and was not properly secured. I reported these issues to the management and, at their request, sent photographs via WhatsApp. However, I received no further feedback or indication that any action had been taken before check-out. What was particularly frustrating was the contrast between the very strict requirements imposed on guests and the condition of the apartment. Check-in requires extensive personal information, a contract and acceptance of numerous rules. Check-out is strictly at 11:00, luggage cannot be left in the apartment, guests must take the rubbish downstairs themselves and are responsible for returning the keys as instructed. This was particularly surprising considering that a €60 cleaning fee was charged, for an apartment that was not impeccably clean upon arrival. I have no problem following reasonable house rules, but there should be a reasonable balance between what is expected from guests and the service provided. The management was polite, but unfortunately the actual experience did not match the level of attention to detail expected from guests. Overall, I would not choose this property again and would recommend reviewing the condition of the towels and bedding, bathroom maintenance, and the balance between guest responsibilities and the cleaning fee.

  Nice apartment, good location

  Liked: Accommodation was good, kitchen well equipped. Bed comfy. Location was good. Bus service was excellent with bus stop outside the apartment

  Disliked: Some information on what was available around us, how to get a bus ticket etc. would have liked better furniture on the balcony, seats were poor quality and would have liked a lounger.

  We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed the experience

  Liked: We really liked the apartment – it was bright, spacious, modern, and had a large balcony with a beautiful view. It was well equipped with everything we needed, and the location was perfect, close to both the beach and the supermarket. A special thank you to Laura, who assisted us with the check-in and stayed in touch throughout our stay – she was very helpful and kind.

  Great apartment, little noisy but close to the beach

  Liked: Pretty close to the beach, very walkable both to the beach and grocery store. The bus stop is right in front of the house. Very clean, everything works, has AC, big terrace balcony.

  Disliked: It’s on the busy street so it is pretty noisy during peak hours. Lacks some basic kitchen stuff (peeler or mittens) which you would expect to find in a property. The check in was supposed to be very easy but we had slight issue finding the lockbox, luckily we met someone from the agency right in front (maybe that’s our mistake as I did not find the clear and full instructions at first).

  Relaxing work & play in Pedregalejo

  Liked: I am a return customer and I really like this apartment. Perfect size and furniture for a mixture of work and play. A big bonus is the large terrace offering a lot of sun and unobstructed views. Málaga Este is not as overrun by tourists, it is a bit quieter than Málagueta e.g., but the neighborhood offers many nice bars, restaurants and cafés- and you reach downtown by bus in 20 min from a bus stop across the street The Aloha Málaga team is very friendly and helpful, and they respond quickly to all requests. Kudos to Lilia and Gabriel.

  Disliked: Be aware tht light sleepers may feel disturbed by nightly traffic noise on Av. Juan Sebastian Elcano. Was absolutely no problem for me, though.
