  Paid over £2000 for an unlivable villa with known power issues, no proper solution offered ruined our holiday. Would nev

  Liked: Nothing was as described or usable. The location was close to the city centre, but that was completely overshadowed by all the serious faults and lack of help.

  Disliked: I paid over £2000 for this villa, but it was unfit to stay in from arrival, constant power cuts throughout, no working air conditioning, broken leaking fridge that ruined all our food, unusable kitchen hob, and no iron even though it was listed in the description. The agency admitted there were ongoing power issues but said they could do nothing. They promised maintenance would come – but nobody ever arrived, and no one checked on us at all. I contacted Booking.com by phone and message too, and they were not helpful at all. They only said you can leave and we will give you a refund– they offered no alternative accommodation, no extra help, and now they are just ignoring my messages completely. I was on holiday but could barely use any facilities. I tried desperately to find somewhere else myself but everything in Malaga was fully booked. We had 15 guests including young children and my son with special educational needs – we had absolutely nowhere else to go. This caused huge extra stress, especially caring for my son in these terrible conditions. Our long-awaited family holiday was completely ruined.

  Avoid booking this property—expensive, disappointing, and handled with little compassion or accountability

  Liked: The only positive aspect of this property was its location, which was reasonably convenient. Unfortunately, any positives ended there. Given the number and severity of the issues we encountered throughout our stay, it is extremely difficult to identify anything else that met a reasonable standard for accommodation. The experience fell significantly below what was advertised and what we paid for.

  Disliked: Beyond the issues with the property itself, what disappointed us most was the complete lack of compassion and customer care shown throughout the entire situation. After spending approximately €2,600 on this accommodation, we expected professionalism, honesty and a genuine effort to resolve the problems we encountered. Instead, we were repeatedly left chasing responses, explaining the same issues over and over again, and fighting for a resolution that should never have required this much effort. What made matters even worse was that the property agreed to provide a 30% refund in recognition of the seriousness of the issues. Despite this, the amount processed was significantly lower than what had been agreed, forcing us to continue pursuing money that should have been refunded without question. This has left us feeling completely misled and has destroyed any confidence we had in the property’s integrity and willingness to honour its commitments. At no stage did we feel that our concerns or the impact on our holiday were taken seriously. There was no genuine apology, no empathy for the disruption caused, and no meaningful attempt to restore our confidence. Instead of enjoying our trip, we spent a considerable amount of time documenting problems, gathering evidence, communicating with the host and Booking.com, and trying to secure a fair outcome. We have extensive evidence to support our experience, including photographs, videos, message history and correspondence with Booking.com. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering this property to think very carefully before booking. If something goes wrong, our experience suggests you should not expect the level of customer service, transparency or accountability that most travellers would reasonably expect.
