  Comfortable, affordable, well taken care of

  Liked: How can I not start with Lenora? She is one of the friendliest and most helpful hotel staff I have ever encountered. She needs a pay raise! The room was very spacious, large bed, great shower, large tv, good A/C, etc. Loved it

  If you value your peace and quiet, STAY somewhere ELSE

  Disliked: There was EXTREME, NON-STOP LOUD NOISE until around 2:00 AM and then again from before 7:00 to around 10:00 AM (sounded like a MULE STAMPEED at the tune of door slamming). When staff was notified in the morning, they admitted that THEY KNEW but didn't take any action BECAUSE I didn't complain at the time!!!... (They were let known that I DID my part, paying for a room where I could rest. Making sure I could, was the part that they are in business for!!!) I had traveled all day from southern Portugal (more than 6 hours travel!) and was too tired and trying very hard to get some rest and found THE FACT that THEY KNEW but didn't do anything about it INSULTING, to say the least). Also, far a hotel that charges what they do, the rooms are very poorly set. The bathroom door is GLASS that slides and SLAMS very loud when it's open or closed. Sandblasted glass, that is... But there goes your sense of privacy when you are sharing the room with someone else! The faucet on the sink is set in the BACK and bellow the sink surface so, when you reach for it after using the sink, you get water dripping all over the counter with nowhere to go. The shower has NO DOOR nor curtain, allowing the water to bounce all over the bathroom floor. The shower faucet is a poor example of trying to re-invent the wheel!!! It takes a rocket scientist to figure out how to operate it! And, finally, the rooms door closers are all set to make sure the doors slam with the strongest possible force, jolting you every time to what sounds like a canon blast! We have stayed at this hotel twice or three times in the recent past and have ignored the nuisances and inconveniences mentioned above but the excessive noise when a very tired traveler is trying to sleep, that was the LAST STRAW... I had chosen to pay twice to four times the going rate for the area expecting better accommodations than what I got this LAST time!
