  very clean room, but the building's upkeep and lack of reception did not match a 3* hotel

  Liked: The room was very clean, which we greatly appreciated. Once we located the caretakers, they were very friendly and polite.

  Disliked: The signs from the train to the hotel made us walk a good 800m unnecessarily. The property does not match a 3-star hotel listing—from the outside it looked neglected, and inside there were unfinished repairs such as missing floor and door trims and a hole in the shower wall. Additionally, there was no reception desk; after waiting outside with no answer at the door, we had to walk around the property to find the staff, even though one caretaker had seen us waiting earlier.

  A really convenient and quirky place at the heart of Montserrat, but try to miss the holidays!

  Liked: It's hard to find reasonably priced accommodation in Montserrat at the best of times so I was very glad to get a room here at fairly short notice. The value for money is definitely the stand-out aspect here but the room was spacious enough and comfortable and had, at least, an interesting view over the town. Location-wise it was close to everything we needed and everything in the room worked, including the air conditioning, which was important!

  Disliked: Parking was difficult; road access to everything in Montserrat is tricky but the property doesn't really have parking at all, though we found some very nearby. (The photo shows you the road outside the hotel entrance.) Dragging the cases there still wasn't much fun. We had paid for breakfast, but that turned out to be plastic-wrapped croissants and fruit. I suppose we could have taken as many as we wanted, but it was a bit disappointing and this aspect certainly wasn't worth the money. This was especially disappointing, because on a past visit to Montserrat I ate at this place's restaurant and that was excellent; but this time it was shut for the holiday.

  Liked: Central clean and spacious. Clear communication instructions to check in

  Disliked: The breakfast is not really a breakfast - it is pre packaged cake and coffee and juice. The apples were old. Better not to call it breakfast- rather coffee and cane on the house

  Liked: Clean, practical and spacious room with ensuite. Owner super friendly and nice to deal with. Perks of juices fruit and pastry items. Kettle and microwave to use. Good location right in the little town.

  Liked: Clean room, really Comfortable bed, clean modern bathroom, nice fridge + freezer compartment. Breakfast facilities good but not to our taste.

  Disliked: Nothing really, it was great for our overnight stay.

  The hotel was what we needed - great location to Montserrat, clean, spacious room with A/C

  Liked: Location and price was good, three comfy beds for us. I looked at the facility online and knew what to expect. We only needed a place to stay, no fancy details. Provided fruit and juice and prepackaged back goods/muffins. No desk with staff, but I was not expecting that arrangement. Yes I would stay again.

  Disliked: I did not know in advance to look at WhatsApp for communication before getting to the facility. I wasn't bothered by having to hold the shower head up to shower, it wasn't attached up high. Others might be bothered but I assume that was probably temporary.
