  Magical!

  Liked: What a beautiful, special place to stay - comfortable, artistic, and with umpteen little thoughtful touches and extras. Mayte made our stay magical - arranging a birthday cake and evening with friends, food and cava on a terrace dripping with bougainvillea flowers, followed by a drink under the stars on the rooftop. Exceptional! She made us feel welcomed to a community of interesting locals and her knowledge of the area - its museums, beaches, restaurants, festivals, cactus parks - added greatly to our enjoyment of Nijar. We'll never forget our visit - thanks so much!

  Exceptional stay in the heart of Níjar

  Liked: Casa de la Cine is a really special place. The location is perfect, right in the center of Níjar, yet calm and full of character. The rooftop terrace has an incredible view and is definitely one of my favorite spots. Great for a morning coffee as the sun comes up or a glass of wine at sunset. The patio is framed by beautiful bougainvillea and is just lovely, perfect for relaxing or enjoying a meal. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family, the apartments are super comfortable, well stocked (cooking utensils, coffee machine etc) and thoughtfully put together. The cinema theme is a wonderful touch, especially knowing that one of the buildings was actually the projection room for the town cinema. It adds so much charm from the moment you walk through the front door. The patio out front also has a great bit of local history — it used to be a gathering place for evening dancing and is now one of the most photographed spots in town. The Casa is a true local treasure. Mayte is an exceptional host, beyond welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful. She knows the town and surrounding area inside out and is generous with recommendations. Casa de la Cine is a perfect base for exploring Cabo de Gata National Park and the nearby beach towns, and it’s so convenient being just 20 minutes from the airport. I couldn’t recommend it more and would happily stay again.

  Disliked: I wish I had more time to spend here! I will definitely be coming back!

  Great choice, really cool and pleasant stay in Nijar…

  Liked: Really cool stay. The hostess, Maite, was super nice and friendly and welcomed us with a cold bottle of “Cava”. Very thoughtful of her. Her place is very original, clean, with cool decorations and the house is over 200 years old but in great shape! The town of Nijar is lovely, and the house is right at the start of the casco histórico. We really lucked out!

  A little gem

  Liked: Beautifully decorated, comfortable. Super fan for living room, comfy sofa bed and aircon in the bedroom. The little patio/terrace a bonus. Great attention.
