Fabulous
Liked: Perfect location, lovely hostel, comfortable room and wonderful, helpful host
Disliked: Nothing at all!
Great location
Liked: Location was excellent, you have a great view of the village from here and it's only a 15 minute walk. Not even too strenuous if you go by road. We also had a fridge and airconditioning, which was extremely welcome in the heat. Easy parking too and only a 10 minute drive to Besalú, which is also a very charming town. Can definitely recommend the pizzeria in town too, they will likely be fully booked but you can get take away too.
Disliked: Once you're in the restaurant you will have to call a phone number for someone to come down to check you into your room.

Liked: Room was clean
Disliked: Rooms are above a restaurant at the side of a highway. You lug up your bags through the restaurant. Rooms are very low budget, not even a box of tissues. Some small single packets of soap/shampoo for shower and hand washing! Room was clean. Check out is 10:30 which is an odd time and at 10:20 a woman came banging on our door and the one next door telling Ten Minutes! 10 minutes down the road is a beautiful medieval town called Besalu. That’s the place to stay
Very cozy and lovely stay
Liked: The staff were so wonderful and friendly for the most part. I loved the little bar downstairs. The views were fantastic. I actually like the retro decor and motel vibes, it felt authentic and rural!
Disliked: Our room was lovely but there was no service or WiFi in our room (the furthest room, room 8) so it was slightly primitive.
Great place to stay in Castelfollit de la Roca!
Liked: The host who met us was so helpful and enthusiastic with great advice on what to see and do in the area - he was amazing! The view from the room was fabulous and the restaurant/bar downstairs was great to lend us a corkscrew and let us freeze our water bottles, plus the wine was lovely!
Disliked: There was no bar of soap in the bathroom
