Exceptional
A unique and special stay at a family-run historic farmhouse
Liked: This is a truly special place to stay in Arantzazu. It is family-run by the kindest people - in particular the woman who handles check-in was really lovely throughout my trip. The food is incredible, from the actually amazing breakfast buffet spread to the multi-course meals with typical Basque dishes and very reasonable prices. Definitely the best food I had on my trip. The location of Arantzazu is unique and perfect for unwinding, hiking, and exploring. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the property itself is over 500 years old, so lots of history and character. This is a weird shout-out but the towels were huge and comfy and smelled amazing.

Liked: Amazing place to stay, Parking was no issue for our motorbikes and the food and service was excellent, only stayed 1 night but enough to see with an amazing but different church close to the property, The staff were lovely and really like the fact that it is family run, Overall we couldn't ask for more, Thank you 👍

Exceptional visit to Goiko-Benta!
Liked: The guesthouse and restaurant were beautiful and the family were incredibly kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to such a stunning area. I loved the combination of modern and rustic design touches and enjoyed learning of the family history there. The meals were exceptional with high quality local ingredients and service was delightful.

Liked: This place is a gem. Warm welcome in a very intriguing location. Comfy beds, good bathroom, charming building. EXCEPTIONAL food in the restaurant. The set menu for folks staying in the hotel was 28€ per person and worth every penny. It was truly one of the best meals I've had in northern Spain and I think the mushroom omelette was the best omelette I've ever had in my life. The sheep's milk cuajada was incredible too! The sanctuary of Arantzazu is fascinating, a deeply spiritual version of mid century modern architecture. I would have liked to check out some of the hikes in the area too but the weather was not great.
Disliked: Weak Wi-Fi signal -- maybe to be expected in an old stone house.

Liked: Everything! The historic inn we stayed in, the room, the location next to the amazing church, the landscape, the walks you can do, and the sensational food they prepared.
