  Disappointing

  Liked: The lady working on reception was very nice and helped us to organize a boat tour for the next day. The room was clean and comfortable but was severely lacking in soundproofing. Breakfast was nice but overcrowded.

  Disliked: Our stay was soured by a lack of space for guests in the restaurant. Local restaurants were largely closed and my pregnant wife had to go hungry for most of the day. Given that this is a remote hotel, giving guests access to food should be a minimum requirement.

  2 star service, 4 star building. I guess value for money is ok

  Liked: The property was beautiful, like an okd palace effectively. Nice pool and beautiful forest with sculptures and garden. Breakfast was good.

  Disliked: The fact that it is a 4 star hotel and offers no lunch. For me this is pretty much essential and it's mind blowing. I coulnt believe it. The restaursnt is closed every single day for lunch time and only offers sandwiches which is more of a 2 star property. Very cheap move. If you stay in the hotel you must make a reservation otherwise you wont get a table for dinner whoch is ridiculous. Hotel Guests should always be able to have dinner in the restaurant (ie table guaranteed). Otherwise you have to drive 15 minutes to the closes town to sit in a random restaurant. Other negative thing is that there is no gym and no massages. Very stange for being a 4 star property as well.

  Un hotel que es hogar

  Liked: Hay hoteles bonitos, hoteles de lujo y hoteles con buenos servicios. Y luego está el Áurea Palacio de Sober: un hotel que consigue algo mucho más difícil, hacerte sentir que llegas a casa. Después de siete noches podemos afirmar que el verdadero lujo de este lugar no son solo sus magníficas instalaciones, su limpieza impecable o su fantástico spa. El verdadero lujo son las personas. Miguel, Jessica y Ana, en recepción, son el mejor ejemplo de lo que significa la hospitalidad. Desde el primer momento estuvieron pendientes de nosotros, preguntándonos cada día cómo nos encontrábamos e interesándose incluso por la evolución de una infección de oído que sufrí durante la estancia. Son detalles que no aparecen en ninguna categoría de Booking, pero que marcan la diferencia entre un buen hotel y uno inolvidable. Mención especial también para Almudena y el equipo del restaurante, siempre atentos, amables y cercanos. Consiguieron que cada comida fuera una experiencia tan agradable como la anterior. El spa es perfecto para relajarse, todo el hotel transmite paz y la limpieza es impecable. El entorno de la Ribeira Sacra invita a desconectar y el silencio permite descansar como hacía tiempo que no lo hacíamos. En la entrada hay una campana con un cartel que dice: "Si eres feliz, toca la campana." Nosotros la habríamos tocado cada día. Porque sí, fuimos muy felices allí. Leyendo otras opiniones antes de viajar vimos que muchos huéspedes destacaban precisamente la tranquilidad del hotel, el cuidado de las instalaciones y la extraordinaria amabilidad del personal. Después de vivirlo durante una semana, entendemos perfectamente por qué tantos viajeros coinciden en esos aspectos. Dicen que a los lugares donde uno ha sido feliz no debería regresar. Nosotros romperemos esa regla. Porque cuando encuentras un hotel que se convierte en hogar, lo único que deseas es volver. Gracias

  Absolutely recommended

  Liked: Staff members are outstanding and the location is beautiful, the old palace is espectacular and the outdoor pool is great.

  Disliked: The only thing is when you are in first floor you can hear people in the second floor due the material of the building. If I ll go again I will pick second floor rooms probably.
