  Liked: Good location

  Disliked: The biggest problem with this hostal is the self check-in, with no staff at all. The automatic kiosk was malfunctioning and many guests were stuck in front of it for a very long time. As a result, after getting my key, I had no idea that my private bathroom was not inside the room (which did not match what was shown when I booked), and nobody informed me, there was only a sheet of paper on the wall with a diagram indicating that the bathroom was not in the room. I called the owners, but their English was very poor and communication was impossible. They refused to change my room, claiming everything was fully booked, even though rooms were available on Booking that same day. When they realised they couldn't communicate with me, they simply stopped answering my calls. I was therefore forced to contact Booking's customer service, who told me the property wasn't responding to their messages either and simply asked me to wait for the owner to come. He kept saying he'd be there "in 5 minutes," so I had to wait three hours in the hostal, without food or water, and turn to other guests for help, but all of whom had their bathroom inside their room. Eventually, the owner came, used a key to open a door on the other side of the corridor and told me it was my private bathroom, with no signage in English on the door. I received neither an apology nor any explanation. Booking had promised me a response to my complaint within 24 hours, and 9 days later, I still haven't received anything. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

  Disliked: Not at all like the pictures. Did not feel clean. Really small rooms. No balcont. No reception, was just a machine. There is no parking at the hostel, in spite of what said on the website.

  Liked: I changed rooms the next day, but I had to wait for the new room to be cleaned and prepared, which took additional time. This also meant I couldn’t simply leave early in the morning and get on with my day, as I had to wait for the room I had actually booked to become available. The whole situation resulted in unnecessary time and inconvenience. But like minimum I got the room which I booked in the end of the story.

  Disliked: I booked a Superior Single Room with a private bathroom, but upon arrival I was given a room with no bathroom or toilet at all, they were located across the corridor. Reception was already closed when I arrived, so there was no one to explain or resolve the issue. My reservation clearly stated a private bathroom, and this was never acknowledged or apologised for. For this price I expected much more. The room had no proper air conditioning, poor lighting, and was extremely stuffy. The only option was a basic fan, while opening the window meant unpleasant smells from the courtyard and cigarette smoke from other guests. The first impression was extremely disappointing, especially being given a completely different room from what I had booked with no explanation or apology. And last funny situation was in the day of check in, in the morning I left my luggage at reception, but the staff member did not tell me until what time reception would be open. When I returned around 4 pm, reception was already closed, and my luggage was locked inside the reception area. There was no one available to help me access my belongings, which was very inconvenient. So, I needed to call on all phone numbers which I found on booking and doors information to find someone to help me.

  Thieves

  Disliked: This property double charged me for my stay. This occurred on the 20th of July and to date - 3 weeks later, they have still not refunded me. They only replied to me when I raised a dispute via booking.com, and at that said they were ‘looking into it’- but still 2 weeks after they said they would have more information ‘next week’ I am left with no communication from them despite multiple attempts and no refund. AVOID
