Exceptional
Beautiful view, cosy apartment with everything you need provided and a great host!
Liked: Everything, from the friendly host to the super clean and cosy apartment to the amazing views and the supplies for breakfast such as homemade bread and granola. A true gem of a place! We felt like we were staying at home and the fact that there were a few other apartments made it even nicer in a way as it was nice to have people around. The host was super kind and friendly and even waited to greet us although we arrived very late at night!
Peaceful & everything you need for a beautiful stay in the mountains
Liked: Beautiful, peaceful location. Fantastic host- Eva goes the extra mile and was keen to help & show us around. Fabulous accommodation- we loved the outdoor courtyard & patio area overlooking the mountains. If you are hiking, having the laundry area was a dream!
Disliked: Fabulous if you want somewhere quiet & don’t mind an extra few minutes on your journeys to some of the big hikes.
We had a very good time!
Liked: We had a lovely welcome from hostess Eva. She was very friendly and gave us good advice about good restaurants in the area. The apartment had all the things we needed. Good beds en very nice vieuw at the montains.

Located in a beautiful valley with a lovely host but check access to property prior to arrival

Disliked: Accessing the property should be much more clearly described prior to check-in. The GPS took me via a much more difficult and steep route in the last 100 metres and I was not aware there was an alternative and much easier access to the property. I was assisted by the host in the end but understand that some other guests have had the same problem.
Exceptional
Liked: Olmares has great character and many traditional features which have been restored, providing facilities for guests. An enclosed courtyard, shared and private patio facilities. Spacious living accommodation with excellent log burners as well as radiator heating. There is a comfortable lounge with books, games, etc. Situated high on the hillside there are great, far reaching views from all areas and rooms (apart from the enclosed courtyard). It is a short drive into Potes for many restaurants, outdoor activity companies, shops, etc. The supreme strength of Olmares is Eva. She is an outstanding host who is not only charming and friendly but also cares about every part of each guests visit. She not only gives very good advice but will go out of her way to help with arrangements and problem solving. A lady with a wide experience of life and a wonderful personality. It was a delight to meet her.
