A lovely historic house in a great location
Liked: This was the last accommodation for a 3 week motorbike tour of the Picos and we had obviously saved the best until last. This is a really historic house in a great location away from the hustle and bustle of Potes, which was far too busy for our liking. This was a walking/riding holiday for us and we had two amazing walking days from the doorstep up into the mountains behind the house, which we really enjoyed. The owners were really nice and couldn't have been more helpful. We eat in their restaurant on all three evenings and it was good for us having the menus translated into English, that was very helpful; they also had plenty of vegetarian options, which wasn't always the case in other places where we had stayed. We would highly recommend this house and hope to return with friends one day.
Liked: La Posada de Viñon was the highlight of our trip to Spain. It is in a tiny town, and it's family run. There's nothing like having dinner on the terrace overlooking the valley and listening to the cow bells, which are actually on the sheep. Very quiet. Don't pass on the homemade orange ice cream!
Disliked: The downside of it's quiet and isolation is that it is a bit of a drive to reach.
Perfect authentic Mountain Possda
Liked: This hotel was a wonderful surprise for us,very authentic, the view was wonderful, the staff really helpful and friendly, the size of the room was good and very clean. The owner helped us to find a nice hiking route and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Just a perfect place where you can relax and rest in the middle of nature.
A beautiful house with great views, great people and great food
Liked: We really enjoyed the place and we recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful option with great views, very good food and very friendly people. We enjoyed the terrace for a relaxing drink at sunset and also very good dinner at really good prices. Our room was very spacious, yet a little uncomfortable in some parts being an attic. The bed is big and very comfortable, bathroom very big and also comes with a bidet, not common in Spain. Highly recommended for a few days to visit Picos de Europa and surroundings. Very friendly owners, it’s a only a shame that our spanish is quite limited so we couldn’t have a lot of conversation. Added bonus: two lovely dogs! Probably the best tomatoes we have had in years!
Disliked: I would add a small fridge in the room and some coffee/tea facilities. There is a restaurant but it opens in the evening so it would be nice to have some additional facilities in the room, especially that there is enough space
