  Value for money

  Liked: The owner is very hospitable and ready to help. There was everything necessary for our 6-night stay, lots of kitchen appliances and even a washing machine. The apartment was very clean, but there is some strange smell every time you enter the apartment (mold?), as it is a former car garage.

  Disliked: The apartment is located in another residential area (Pozuelo de Alarcon), and one needs to buy intercity tickets to actually get to Madrid. The train and bus connections are very good though.

  Liked: It has everything you need - equipped kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and a washing machine. Comfortable, close to suburban station. The local area has several restaurants, supermarkets and cafes - all easily walkable. Hostess easily contactable and pleasant.

  Disliked: Unable to access apartment when we arrived. Needed to contact host to get instructions. Instructions sent 15 minutes after we arrived. Not close to any tourist attractions. We needed to travel back to Madrid Atocha or Madrid Charmartin stations to go to tourist destinations. Despite having 1st class global eurail pass, I needed to buy a suburban trip card to do this as suburban trains are not in the network. Passes are for medium and high speed trips only.

  Disappointing

  Liked: We didn't like this accommodation at all!! It's no apartment, it is a former car garage converted into a room in the underground with very little light. The photos on booking absolutely don't reflect the reality of this accommodation, it is a basement room with very small windows. We absolutely don't understand why people are so excited about this accommodation, probably the price, these people have absolutely no ambitions for good living! We travel all over the world, we have seen a lot of apartments, but this WAS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST OF ALL!! After 6 nights we were very happy to leave... Never ever again, thank you.
