  Very nice stay!

  Liked: It was a nice stay. The appartment was well equipped and very big. The host was extremely nice and helpful. The weather was extreme and we had problems with finding a place to park our car, so we arrived late in the evening, even later than we expected. Maria was waiting for us in the rain.

  Great location, but apartment is dark

  Liked: Location is fantastic, looking out on a treed square and only 100 m from the water in the centre of town. The apartment was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Aircon in the bedrooms is efficient and quiet. Communication was good and staff were helpful.

  Disliked: The apartment is dated and tired, and dark. The two bedrooms do not have external windows, rather a door onto a narrow windowed gallery. However, none of these windows can open - broken fixtures and/or seized. We had planned to cook the occasional meal, but kitchen is not really set up for it - no chopping board for starters. Cupboard doors don’t always open and close smoothly. One small sofa. There is a terrace but there’s no furniture on it, and the front wall is chest height so no view if sitting. Plastic roofing means it radiates heat. From the street to the apartment you need to unlock 5 doors! We managed to time our stay with poor weather, and it wasn’t a place we were happy spending time in.

  A comfortable apartment in a very central location

  Liked: Our flights were changed at the last minute and we did not arrive until 01:45. María had been in contact about our check in time and was extremely helpful, meeting us at the apartment at that time to let us in. I was so glad we didn’t have to wait around the airport to get a morning bus. The WiFi was really fast, with a large TV where we could stream films. The apartment is close to the coast and in easy walking distance of the city centre and the old town.

  Disliked: It would have been nice to have a kettle and a toaster. Information on facilities indicated that there was a toaster and an oven, though there was neither. Some more glasses and mugs would have been useful- we bought an extra mug as there was only one of a reasonable size. We didn’t know it was Carnaval when we booked. The apartment was opposite the sound stage by the square and there was very loud music on a few nights until 4am or 6 am. Otherwise, despite its very central location by the Plaza del Charco, it was not particularly noisy, and the restaurant/music noise finished by midnight.
