  Exceptionally clean rooms and very friendly staff

  Liked: One of my best stays ever. This family-run hotel is a real gem in the heart of Puerto de la Cruz and also great value for money. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean. Every one of the family/staff was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. You could see they really care about their guests. Cleaning is done every day, except Sundays. There is no AC nor fan (I stayed in October and did not miss them). The rooms are equipped with a small fridge and TV. Being in the center of town, there can be some noise from nearby restaurants on weekends, but otherwise it was surprisingly quiet. Huge free public parking lot is just a five-minute walk away. Mattresses are memory foam. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay! I would happily come back!

  Liked: I spent six nights at Pension Los Geranios and was very happy with my stay. The location is in a pedestrianised street about ten minutes walk from the bus station. I had a room at the back and it was quiet at night. Even during the evening, outside noise was not intrusive. The room was very clean. The pictures and facilities listed for the room are an accurate reflection of what you get. Small bars of soap were provided but no other toiletries. The window looked across to the window of a neighbouring room so I kept a curtain closed for privacy. There is a black-out curtain for night-time as well as a thinner curtain. When I first arrived in the evening (at a time previously communicated), the front door was closed and there was no one around. I used WhatsApp to message the mobile number posted on the door and someone came within a couple of minutes. The family who run the Pension live on-site, so usually there is someone around. I only used the room for sleeping and for me the facilities covered everything I needed - all facilities were clean and in good working order.

  Good location and clean, but noisy

  Liked: The location is great, old center, close to the sea, the bus station, restaurants. The room and bathroom were clean, the cleaning lady is coming every day if needed. Nobody seems to be speaking much English there at the property, so it's also a good way to practice your Spanish) Thanks!

  Disliked: Too noisy location, restaurants are open till night, you can hear all the music and voices from the street, even with shut windows. The walls between the rooms are also not noise isolated, I could always hear my neighbour watching TV, speaking on the phone, coughing, going to toilet, etc. So if you come back to your room after 1 a.m., then it's ok to sleep, but earlier - too noisy. And one more thing that the hosts should consider: the photos show a kind of public kitchen in the property, but actually you are not allowed to access it, there's a sign of private property at the kitchen entrance. So it would be fair to remove the kitchen photos from the property description. But they gave me a kettle to boil water. Thanks!
