Beautiful hideaway in the hills of Cantabria
Liked: Stayed here for the solar eclipse in August 2026. Lovely, peaceful location. Comfortable rooms and helpful service.
Definitely worth a stay, it was on our route from Santander port to Portugal
Liked: The hotel was very clean and smelt amazing in arrival, very welcoming and very Spanish in a quiet village. The rooms were very spacious with an outdoor beer garden and could eat in the bar as it was dog friendly.
Liked: The hotel is completely restored and modern, but kept its historic charm. The owner/innkeeper and his staff are very agreeable and somewhat fluent in English. Parking is easy. Despite how nice the hotel is, the real gem is the restaurant, especially for dinner. They offer a 3 course pre-fixe with many options for each level and a week would not be enough to exhaust the menu options. There is also a nice bar with indoor and outdoor seating, great for a pre-dinner drink or two. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.
