Exceptional
Liked: New nice and clean hostel

Fantastic Location but don't expect to be fed on a Sunday
Liked: I've stayed here before so knew what to expect. Fantastic location to use as a hub to tour the Picos by motorcycle, I stayed 3 nights. Great value and good comfortable if basic rooms. Shared bathrooms were not a problem. There is a restaurant but it is not obvious on arrival; there are no signs or menus. Availability of dinner and breakfast again not obvious and no menus available. When you get over the quirky arrangements it sort of works and the food is really good for dinner; I never really managed to suss out how breakfast worked. Roadside parking is available nearby and free; the remote location makes it all fairly safe but I'd bring a chain if arriving by motorcycle. Much better option for a base than Potes in my opinion.
Disliked: Like everywhere in the EU, Spain is closed on sunday so no chance of dinner or breakfast at the hotel. The staff keep this a great secret so it only when you come down to find everything locked up on a sunday morning that the penny drops. Don't be put off though, the value and location more than make up for a missed meal or two.

Liked: I stayed here for one night on a motorcycle trip with my son. The accommodation offers superb value for money. It is spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant is home cooked and very tasty. Menu of the day again is excellent value. The gentleman doing check in, bar and restaurant is very helpful and gave us great local roads and places to see. I was aware that there are 2 shared bathrooms in the property before I booked and had never stayed in a room without a bathroom before. However from arrival to check out it was never a problem as one or both bathrooms were always free and spotlessly clean. Motorcycle is completely safe around the back or out front. When I return to the Pico's I very much look forward to staying here again.

Pleasant accommodation, great value for money
Liked: Pleasant accommodation that offers great value for money. The room was small but completely sufficient for a few nights' stay. The shared bathrooms were renovated and very nice. Parking right on the main road in front of the entrance. Tasty and hearty lunches and dinners.
Disliked: The windows lacked insect screens, the bed could have been a bit larger, and the single shared bolster used instead of pillows was outright uncomfortable. Dinner is only served starting from 8:30 PM, which might be a bit late for some guests (and it definitely was for us).
