Exceptional
Beautiful, quiet beach town. Be prepared to walk hills!
Liked: The owners are very friendly and accommodating. It is comfortable and an easy walk from the bus station. The town is a little tricky to navigate using Google Maps, but the people in the town are helpful and kind.
Disliked: Everything was great, I have nothing to improve on.
Liked: Amazing location, beautiful old town to get lost in the evening and have some amazing food. Super friendly locals
Very Disappointing Experience
Disliked: We chose this hotel specifically because the room we booked was advertised as having a balcony with mountain and city views. However, when we arrived, we were given a completely different room with no balcony, facing a road and a wall. Before our arrival, I tried contacting the property several times through Booking.com regarding parking and our arrival time, but I never received a reply. When we asked if there had been a mistake with the room, the owners insisted that this was the room we had booked. They claimed that not all rooms of this type have balconies and blamed Booking.com for the incorrect information. This is simply not true—the room description clearly stated that all rooms of this category include a balcony, and those descriptions are provided by the property, not Booking.com. The only solution they offered was to use the shared rooftop terrace. While it does have a beautiful view (the view we expected from our room), it is not a replacement for a private balcony. We booked this room specifically because we wanted our own private outdoor space. What disappointed us the most was the complete lack of concern. There was no apology, no real explanation, and no attempt to make things right. It felt like they simply didn’t care. Another important thing to know is that parking in this town is extremely difficult, especially during the high season. The hotel is located high up the hill, so you usually have to park at the bottom and walk uphill. Even if you are lucky enough to find a space close to the path, it’s about a 7-minute walk. Otherwise, it can easily take 12–15 minutes uphill in 30°C heat. We wish we had known this in advance. This completely spoiled our impression of both the hotel and part of our vacation, because having a balcony was the main reason we booked this property. During this trip we stayed in seven different hotels across Spain, and this was by far the worst experience in terms of customer service.
Definitely a must stay!
Liked: Marie and her husband were very warm and even though I didn't speak Spanish, it was a very cozy stay. The room itself was amazing with a balcony overlooking the town. The entire place was spotless clean! Absolutely loved my stay here
great location
Liked: great location
Good value choice for a few nights to explore Salobreña and the surrounding area
Liked: Room was clean and apt for what we needed - we were having lunch with friends and just needed a bed. Hosts met us at the property and showed us in. Great location right in the heart of Salobrena old town.
Disliked: Some water left in the room for guests would have been appreciated. There was a kettle but nothing to go with it and the fridge was unplugged and empty. Our room faced into the street which was noisy but to be expected. Be aware it is up a very steep hill so not for anyone with mobility issues.
