  Second time to stay. Would definitely recommend

  I genuinely don’t understand its high rating, and we wouldn’t stay here again

  Liked: Frankly, I don’t understand why this hotel has such a high rating. Although it has some positive aspects, there are several serious issues, particularly with the food. The good points: The location is great, close to the beach, although the hotel is situated on a hill. The pools are excellent, including the rooftop pool and bar. The reception, lobby, common areas, and outdoor garden and pool area are beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff are good, especially the reception team. The rooms are modern, with a great shower and a large-screen TV, although they are on the small side, the wardrobe shelves are too narrow for stacking clothes comfortably, and the soundproofing is poor. Housekeeping: Room cleaning is generally good. Our shower gel bottle was empty when we checked in and wasn’t refilled after the following day’s cleaning, so we had to ask for it. On another occasion, we were left with just one toilet roll. Even worse, one day we returned from the beach to find that our room had been cleaned but the door had been left ajar, meaning anyone could have entered. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about room security.

  Disliked: The food — the biggest disappointment: We were on a half-board package, but the food was mediocre at best, with very limited choice. The serving area was tiny, salads often didn’t look fresh, even the olives were sliced, and the soups were inedible. There were no yogurts, very limited ice cream, and the desserts were tasteless. Breakfast was disappointing too: plain omelettes without cheese, cold fried eggs, and very limited fruit. On several occasions, it seemed that leftovers from previous meals were being served. Most concerning of all, grilled fish, chicken kebabs, and burgers were often undercooked or raw, which is potentially dangerous. A few times, the food was so bad that we literally couldn’t eat and had to go elsewhere to get a proper meal. The restaurant was almost always overcrowded, with queues for food due to the tiny serving area and constant shortages. Buffet shelves were frequently empty, and staff were slow to replenish them, sometimes not doing so at all. The overall impression was that the hotel was cutting costs at the expense of food quality and the guest experience. Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel food experiences we have ever had. Even two-star hotels can serve considerably better meals. For a four-star hotel, this standard is simply unacceptable. Overall: Despite the nice facilities and good location, the poor food, inadequate soundproofing, and room security issue seriously let this hotel down. I genuinely don’t understand its high rating, and we wouldn’t stay here again.
