  Honestly perfect

  Liked: Everything was perfect, host was polite and helpful apartment was spacious, clean and had everything you would need further location was perfect more or less central. Will definitely be visiting again!

  Beautiful apartment close to El Escorial Monastery, the main attraction

  Liked: Fabulous attic apartment overlooking El Escorial monastery in a quiet, residential area. Well provisioned with essentials (dishes, pots, utensils, coffee, salt) and artfully decorated. Wish we would have booked for 4 nights. Note: you have to enter 2nd entry code immediately after the first to open the main door - took several tries; 4 flights of stairs.

  Disliked: 6 pm check in was inconvenient but we verified that there are 9 storage lockers at the nearby bus station. We spent considerable time with online checkin because of a flaw in the ap which didn’t allow for Canadian configuration of passport number. Host did not live in the area and response by Whatsapp was not immediate (but within 1-2 hrs) - a little disconcerting but in the end, everything worked out.

  Exceptional

  Liked: stunning location with a view on El Escorial from the balcony. Lovely furniture/decoration and very clean

  Disliked: it worked well for a couple and a child but the bathroom does not really have doors (only for the shower) so it lacks some intimacy

  Fantastic stay in attic apartment with spectacular view

  Liked: The apartment was beautiful with a lot of light and clean. Kitchen was well equipped and the bed was really comfortable. The view from the balcony of he Monastery was spectacular which my husband especially loved having been born and raised in beautiful San Lorenzo de El Escorial. We really enjoyed our stay.

  Disliked: The sliding door to the bathroom is impossible to close. Lots of steps to reach the apartment, but having been in Escorial so many, many times I realize that so many of these old buildings have no place to put an elevator.
