Exceptional
Great location and excellent outdoor space
Liked: Great space and outdoor eating areas. Fab location. Easy walking into town and to the railway station.
Disliked: Cooker could be updated and a few outdoor seats replaced. Everything else very good.
A Great Property for a Group to Enjoy El Escorial
Liked: The property immediately stands out as eclectic, large and comfortable. There were six of us and one baby and we had plenty of room. This property, like most we find in Europe, is not for those with limited mobility, however there is a full apartment downstairs on the first or ‘zero’ floor. We prepared most of our meals there and again enjoyed the large amount of space to move around. We enjoyed our morning walks for coffee and treats at a local cafe just up from the bus station, before getting ready and going into town. The property is very conveniently located with a short 10 minute walk into town and the Basilica. The walk into town is all incline, but you are rewarded with a gentle downhill stroll back home after a long day of sightseeing. We have been to Escorial many times and really enjoyed the convenience of not having to drive anywhere once parked at the house. We had a large van that did not really fit through the property gate, but found ample parking just outside on the curb. A standard sized vehicle will fit in the large courtyard for easy loading. All in all, we had another wonderful time in Escorial, and the property was a part of that.
Disliked: Everything was great.

Liked: Great location, between the tourist and non-tourist parts of El Escorial. El Escorial well worth visiting, lots to do, great walks, amazing food. Quiet location. Ideal for our group of 1 couple and three adults. Interesting old style decor, lots of character, relatively basic but eactly how we like it. Well equipped. Various outdoor spaces, most being sheltered from hot sun or rain - useful! Landlord was ecellent - very quick to respond to our queries and very helpful.
Disliked: Parking provided but the entrance is very narrow, too narrow to get our large 7 seater hire car through. However, plenty of street parking just outside so not a problem (but avoid the yellow painted lines and kirb stones - can't park there!).
Pleasant and relaxing, I would like to visit again
Liked: Clean, spacious, comfortable. Only a short walk from the Escorial, location coukd not be better. Plenty of gated parking. Would be great for families, plenty for the children to do. Clear and detailed intro. To the property; prompt replies to any queries.
Disliked: As an older person I would have found a grab rail in the over bath shower helpful. There IS an anti-slip mat.
