Exceptional
Liked: Everything was wonderful. Exceptional breakfast, a very warm atmosphere and very dog friendly!
Lovely posada in a good location to explore
Liked: Owner was very friendly, room was comfortable, location good for the area we wanted to explore. Enjoyed our stay.
Disliked: Things I would suggest… not such bright lightbulbs in the room. Way too bright. Turned lights off most of the time.

Fabulous posada with a wonderful staff in a beautiful atmosphere
Liked: The location was perfect for being close to everything and very peaceful at the same time. The host; Monica is exceptionally warm and accommodating. The breakfast cooked to order each day was fantastic. All homemade and served on a beautiful outdoor terrace. Beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious. We especially loved having a day bed next to the window.
Disliked: We have loved to have a small refrigerator in the room but realize there was no place for it. And maybe most guests stay only one or two nights.
A lovely little posada in a peaceful location
Liked: A lovely little posada in a peaceful location. The building has been beautifully converted with contemporary style mixed with traditional features. The bed was very comfortable and we had a lovely big bathroom. Free parking immediately outside the posada was also welcome. It was unusually hot weather, even for July, but fortunately we were able to sleep with the windows open and there were no insects! Breakfast was included and delicious. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. We ended up eating at the same one (Taberna El Cardeo) on both nights as it was only a five minute walk from the posada and the food was excellent. Very much enjoyed our stay at La Vieja Escuela!
Great little find not far from Santander
Liked: Clean, Monica greeted us when we arrived earlier than expected & arranged for us to get into our room. Lovely location with free car park right outside the property. Great location if travelling via car ferry to Santander/ Portsmouth
Disliked: Nothing really except that as the temperature was so hot a fan would be appreciated as there is no air conditioning.
