  Rustic charm should not be an excuse for neglect — a beautiful setting hiding a deeply disappointing and poorly maintain

  Liked: The setting is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and the dinner at the restaurant was quite enjoyable. The person serving us was particularly friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, these were the only real highlights of our stay.

  Disliked: We were accommodated in a separate house, away from the main building, which felt more like an improvised and neglected annex than proper guest accommodation. The layout was completely impractical: no common living area, direct access into a bedroom, and having to walk through a bathroom to reach the second bedroom. Everything seemed poorly thought out and hastily arranged. Cleanliness was below acceptable standards, and one of the bedrooms had no functioning lighting. Instead of fixing the problem, we were given a temporary construction work light. To make matters worse, there was an unbearable sewage smell just a few metres from the accommodation. The entire place gave the impression of being poorly maintained, almost abandoned. There is a difference between rustic charm and outright neglect. What is presented as charming rural hospitality unfortunately feels like a property that has been allowed to deteriorate, with very little attention paid to guests’ comfort. A deeply disappointing experience, especially considering the expectations created by the property’s presentation.

  Liked: Nice view.

  Disliked: The road until the property is effectively DESTROYED. You have almost 2 km of dirt road that is in very bad shape(we were always stressed when we went out, fearing that our car will break down… ). Staff could be more concerned with the guests (the guy at the reception let us wait for 10-15 minutes when we arrived,because he was on the phone….. then he finished our reception in 2 minutes and moved on to the next guests, who were locals …). All the property was full of mosquitoes and wasps (not accusing them … nature I guess). All in all it was a very unpleasant experience for us, mostly because of the road of access.

  Instalaciones no preparadas. Decepcionante y mal trato

  Disliked: Nuestra experiencia fue muy decepcionante. Al llegar, la casa estaba extremadamente caliente. No habían abierto para ventilar ni habían encendido el aire acondicionado con antelación. Además, de las cuatro habitaciones, solo dos disponían de aire acondicionado; las otras dos únicamente tenían ventiladores de pie, que resultaban totalmente insuficientes para las altas temperaturas. Otro problema muy grave fue la presencia de hormigas. La casa estaba infestada, especialmente la cocina, pero también encontramos hormigas en las habitaciones: aparecían por la cama, debajo de la almohada e incluso dentro de las cunas de nuestros bebés, algo completamente inaceptable. Por último, el peor momento llegó el día de la salida. Durante el check-in nos informaron de que, aunque el check-out era a las 11:00, podríamos dejar las maletas y quedarnos en la piscina durante la mañana. Esto era muy importante para nosotros, ya que viajábamos 8 personas y dos bebés de 4 y 6 meses. Sin embargo, el domingo nos dijeron que esa información era incorrecta, que había sido un error de la persona de recepción del viernes y que teníamos que abandonar las instalaciones inmediatamente. Nos dejaron sin ninguna alternativa y tuvimos que improvisar un plan en pleno domingo, cuando era prácticamente imposible encontrar un sitio donde comer o pasar el tiempo, ya que todo estaba lleno. En general, la falta de previsión, las condiciones de la casa y la mala gestión de la información hicieron que nuestra estancia estuviera muy por debajo de lo esperado. No recomendaríamos este alojamiento.

  A stunning retreat with wines to match

  Liked: It was beautifully secluded yet within a suitable radius you could visit great beaches, local amenities and historic sites. Very picturesque building with superb views down the valley to the sea. Stylish architecture and decor. The staff were very approachable yet gave a lot of space to guests, not pushy or sales driven. The wine just added an extra special touch to what is a gorgeous setting.

  Disliked: It was all good. Simple and well considered.

  A haven in the hills of Catalonia

  Liked: We loved the location in the hills. We had a great room with a large terrace overlooking the verdant hills cape with the sea beyond. We enjoyed the good food and relaxed easily after our 4 days of hiking. Loved the mad pink chandelier and the overhead fan!!

  Disliked: We really liked the decor and ambience of the spacious bedroom and the very large bathroom but were a little nervous of the slippery surface when showering. The toilet also got a good wash when the shower was on!!! However, these things are easily corrected.
