  Great

  Liked: We had the opportunity to stay at this apartment, and we have zero regrets. First and foremost, our host, Yolanda, is truly exceptional. On our check-in day, there was an issue in the building (in the building itself, not inside the apartment), which delayed the cleaning. Yolanda apologized sincerely and even offered to pay for our dinner to make up for the inconvenience—a gesture we have never experienced with any other host. Of course, we declined the money because we completely understood the situation wasn’t her fault. Later, when we asked if she could provide two extra beach towels, she didn't hesitate for a second. Also, when the shower drain got clogged, we messaged her and she immediately arranged for someone to come and fix it right away. Regarding the apartment itself: it faces a busy street, and in the evening, garbage collection takes place, which can get noisy. Since we are young and heavy sleepers, the noise didn't bother us at all—the same goes for the portable air conditioner. If you are renting a car, finding free street parking in the area can be quite challenging, as spots are almost always taken. Yolanda recommended the APK2 Weyler parking garage. It is a bit pricey, but it saves you the headache of circling the block looking for a free spot. Overall, the apartment is clean, very well-equipped, and hats off to Yolanda—she is a wonderful, highly responsive host!

  Fantastic apartment

  Liked: Location was great, easy access to everywhere. Market near, bars, restaurants. Apartment was full furnished with everything. Clear and comfy. The host, Yolanda was very gentle and helpfull. Definitely i recommend this, and i will be back again.

  Nice apartment solution near the center, but not recommended for light sleepers

  Liked: Good location nearby center and public transport, with supermarket and breakfast places right next door. House interiors renovated and clean with all the necessary for our week stay in the apartment. Host was communicative and helpful whenever we needed support.

  Disliked: With closed windows the noise at night from the cars, multiple garbage trucks or people conversation nearby was still quite loud.

  Amazing

  Liked: This superb apartment is in a great central location, close to the bus station and shopping center. There are also many supermarkets and cafes nearby. I also liked the modern furnishings of the apartment, the very comfortable bed, and the balcony where you can enjoy the city views. I didn't find it very noisy, acceptable for the city. The apartment has everything you need, and the beer in the fridge was a very pleasant surprise. We had no problems or questions when picking up the keys, and the communication was very friendly. Thank you very much, we had wonderful time!

  Not suitable for sleeping and rest

  Liked: The apartment is on the second floor and has a small balcony. 1. The apartment is very clean. 2. The kitchen is fully equipped. 2. The shower is comfortable, hot water is not always enough from the 50L boiler. 3. The washing mashine has an embedded dryer, laundry detergent is provided. 4. The TV shows local channels without an app. 5. Fast fiber-optic internet. 6. Bright lighting, yellow in the bedroom. 7. A bottle of water is included in the fridge upon arrival – very helpful, as tap water in Santa Cruz has an unpleasant taste. 8. The host notifies you by phone when the apartment is ready and instructs about keys.

  Disliked: 1. The apartment is listed for 2 people. However, the bed in the bedroom is only 140 cm wide. Two very thin persons can sleep on it, huddled close together. Such a bed is not suitable for tired travelers. And the narrow sofa in the studio does not fold out fully. Furthermore, there are no dedicated bed sheets for a second person. 2. The kitchen sink is misaligned in such a way that it's difficult to use. 3. The dining table is round thus impractical. 3. The coat rack has no hooks; and no shoehorn. 4. Most importantly, there's a row of trash containers right under the balcony. Every night, from 1 AM to 3 AM, these containers are emptied by huge garbage trucks, whose shake out the containers. A disinfectant truck then drives up. This process takes 15 to 30 minutes, accompanied by a terrible clash. Afterwards, it's very difficult to fall asleep. Furthermore, passersby throw glass and heavy bags into the containers at any time of day. 5. The apartment has extra 3 windows to the interior utility/ventilation shaft - from bathroom, corridor and kitchen. All internal noises from rental apartments above are audible. All windows, both exterior and interior, are single glazed, thus you hear everything. So, the apartment is completely unsuitable for sleeping and relaxing. Your own earplugs and beer from the fridge, unfortunately, won't help.

  Far nicer than I expected

  Liked: A well appointed apartment with a balcony, kitchen and laundry facilities. The Manager was ever so helpful with my late check in due to a changed and very late Binter flight arrival. Even the nice touch of bottled water and beer in the fridge as a welcome! Ever so easy to access public transport, and walking distance to cafes, bars, restaurants, shops. Great atmosphere. (Possibly change the coffee machine - it’s temperamental. I elected to buy ground coffee from the nearby Markets and make plunger coffee. Also maybe separate laminated instructions for the washing machine/dryer to assist English only types with the settings - I am from New Zealand)
