Charming
Charming place full of character with a lovely host
Liked: Carmen our host was so so hospitable and attentive, we had a couple of lovely chats and she showed us places that we should visit based on our interests. The old building was full of history and charming, the courtyard was lush and beautiful, it had a homely vibe that we thoroughly enjoyed. Bathroom in the courtyard was clean, it’s a wet bathroom but we were completely fine with that, and we basically only shared it with one other person.
Disliked: The bed could be larger and the room was relatively basic, but the old charm did make up for it. It’s a little far from the bus station and no matter what public transport we’d taken (apart from taxis) we would need to walk 20 mins through some narrow streets to get there, but that’s the nature of the city and worthwhile for a quieter location.
Liked: My stay at this place was just the best! Yes, the house is very old but beautiful and very very clean - the room, the bathroom, the kitchen, the commune area - everything was spotless. The garden is calm with nice place to chill. The hostess was very lovely, gave me a warm welcome and great tips. Communication with her was also great, we spoke in english. The house was live (as there are other people) but definitely not noisy. I had a lot privacy. 10/10 recommend and totally worth the price.
Liked: Carmen was so warm and helpful, giving great recommendations about places to eat and see in the city. I loved the old-world charm of this guesthouse, which feels like a retreat right in the heart of things.
