  Good stop for the Camino

  Liked: A nice, clean hotel with a welcoming host who greeted us with a warm smile:) Great value for money and convenient location, just a short walk from the Camino. Lots of restaurants, cafes, tapas bars around. A pilgrim stamp was available at the hotel, and we even got another one from the nearby library. Recommende for fellow pilgrims!

  Liked: We like the very kind of country. I just Señor, who was at the front desk. He was so helpful and calm. He couldn’t have been any better. It was easy access to walk there from the bus. Room was just fine.

  Disliked: No lift. No lobby to meet in so difficult to meet other Peregrino, however, there was a small coffee shop, but no one was ever in it. There were several coffee shops in the neighborhood however that’s why. And there was a Donner kebab shop right across the street. So plenty of restaurants to go to that were close again the front desk man could not have been any kinder.

  Perfect night’s sleep in a great location for our last 8km into Santiago de Compostela

  Liked: Big comfortable bed. Good location to walk into Santiago the next morning. Clean Close to restaurants, bars and supermarkets- lovely pizzas at local Italian restaurant.

  Disliked: Minor issue- but floor in bathroom became wet due to the way the shower door opened.

  Liked: The hotel was clean, comfortable, with decent Wi-Fi, and the staff was very nice and helpful in getting us checked in. For the price, it was more than adequate and fit our need for the night

  Disliked: We had a room on the street, which was noisy into the night. The hotel provided ear plugs, which was helpful, and the fact we had walked 20+ KM that day made us tired enough to mostly sleep through it, but in future I would ask for a room away from the street if available.

  Comfortable stay

  Liked: Bernardo at reception was so helpful and friendly. Accomodation though in Santiago de Compostella is only about 5km from the city and about EUR 9 each way on average to the Cathedral area and back. The place was sufficient for a good night’s rest and convenient to eating places and supermarkets. The room was clean and comfortable bed.

  Liked: Hotel PAYRO met all our expectations. It was comfortable, cozy, and just a few hundred meters from the Camino route. There were shops and plenty of nice restaurants nearby. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Santiago, about 7.5 km from the famous cathedral. From there, it was an easy walk to the square, where we finally completed our Camino de Santiago!
