Disliked: Noisy as my room faced a main street. Party Goers and Refuse Collection Trucks disrupted my sleep.

Beautiful hotel, but a very disappointing experience

Liked: The hotel itself is genuinely beautiful, with lovely interiors and a charming atmosphere. The apartment we originally booked was bright, spacious and beautifully designed. We were really looking forward to enjoying our stay here, as the property has so much potential.

Disliked: Unfortunately, several issues significantly affected our stay. We initially checked into the beautiful, bright apartment we had booked. However, we discovered that the door lock was broken, leaving the apartment permanently unlocked and accessible from both sides! The staff couldn’t fix it, so we were moved to a much darker apartment that felt nothing like the one we had chosen. With no alternatives available, we had no choice but to accept it. Breakfast was an even bigger disappointment. We paid €120 for three breakfasts for two people (€40 per day). For that price, we expected fresh, quality food and some variety. Instead, we received supermarket juice, two yogurts literally labelled €1, two croissants, two slices of bread, ham and a sliced banana. No eggs, no freshly prepared dishes, no choice whatsoever. I don’t eat meat and I’m allergic to gluten, so there was almost nothing I could eat. After complaining, we were offered two ice-cold tomato slices and some brown avocado, without any seasoning or effort. We even wanted to prepare our own proper breakfast, as Booking.com advertised a stovetop. While it was there, not a single pot or pan was provided! What’s the point of having a stovetop if guests can’t actually cook anything? Everything served for breakfast could have been purchased at the Aldi supermarket just 100 metres away for a fraction of the price. From the very first day, we requested to cancel or refund the remaining breakfasts, but nobody properly addressed our concerns or offered a solution. It’s such a shame because the hotel itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, the room downgrade, extremely poor value for money and lack of customer care completely spoiled what could have been a wonderful stay. We left feeling very disappointed.

    Superb rooms

Liked: The rooms are more like small apartments actually and pretty much brand new. Very well done. The staff was friendly and effective.

Disliked: No safe in the room; no bar or restaurant in the hotel.
