There are better options for similar prices

Liked: This is my second visit to urban cube hostel and much like last time the location was ideal its close enough to everything that you can absolutely walk to wherever you want to go, I actually learned there is a launderette just down the road which is very convenient. The value for money is pretty good if you are willing to overlook some issues.

Disliked: Now to mention the issues, my first two are sadly ones that were present last year, the strong smell of sewage everywhere in the building is quite frankly disgusting and the fact nothing has been done about this in more than 13 months is concerning. My second issue was the temperature in the pods, originally I'd assumed it was just a fault in my pod but it seems I was wrong because both of us had the same experience of being extremely uncomfortable in the pods as there really is no ventilation to speak of, which is evident when you open the door and get a burst of cool air from the air conditioning that is in the room the pods are in (which is very good but pointless if the pods are like a sauna) anywhere else this wouldn't be an issue but as Seville is 25/30+ degrees most of the year this is just not acceptable. Another thing I found was that the price had actually gone down by around €60 after I'd booked which was irritating to say the least. Some other complaints from my companion include the lights in her pod not working correctly, the mattress being very uncomfortable as it's very thin, the power outlets in the pods are very weak and take too long to charge most devices. In conclusion I'd say this is a very budget friendly option for a short stay IF YOU CAN IGNORE THE ISSUES but my advice would be to look elsewhere as there are many better options and if you do stay here make sure you get free cancellations.

Liked: The POD. Loved it. The place was really clean and the staff were super helpful - big shout out to Nina.

Disliked: Some people seemed to think that because we are all in boxes they are soundproof. They are not! A bit heavy on the chatter some nights.

    What you'd expect!

Liked: Everything was clean and the staff were great

Disliked: Staying in a pod is cramped, at best a 3-star experience

Close to trsin station and really good for one night

Liked: The best was, that it was really very quiet in the night-time. Good coffee for small money in the morning. Good and clean showers. I would come again.

Disliked: The double cabin/ capsule was not really 4 m². I guess about 3m², not more.

Great value for the location and what you get

Liked: The property is perfectly located to visit all of the major tourist attractions. All within a 25 minute walk or less. There is an excellent bar across the road which is very reasonably priced and happens to stock my favourite Rioja from Ontañon. The property has a small communal area with a few seats and some counter space with stools for laptops. Within this space there is a hob, oven, fridge, kettle, toaster and all the utensils you might need. There is cupboard space for your food and you will be provided with labels for your food stuff. The rooms are clean and you are provided 2 towels which you can recycle and get clean ones the following day. The reception area is manned 24/7 and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Disliked: I had 2 issues; 1. There is a distinct smell that seems to emanate from the drains. This really needs to be addressed. Or perhaps some air freshener. It is quite unpleasant but then I am quite nose sensitive. 2. Need more signs in the dorm areas to discourage people from chatting on their phones with them on speakerphone. I appreciate that there is some noise with people coming and going but some people were slamming their cubicle doors shut and talking for ages on their phones on speakerphone. Please emphasise that the dorms are for resting and sleeping and should be a quiet zone.
