Liked: You must bear in mind that this is not a hotel but a hostel. For example, there is no soap in the bathroom and the rooms are not air-conditioned. But it is very clean and has a cozy feeling

Nice place, but hot in summer

Liked: Facility is placed in the old town, very close to the castle and parking next to the castle. It compromise of an old university building and a more modern wing. There is cold water provided in a dispenser in the lobby, and a small common terrace.

Disliked: It needs to be said that rooms don't have A/C, so staying and the top floor in summer is hardly bearable. Open windows and a fan at night doesn't help much. So be aware of that.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in

Liked: Pretty building and good location

Disliked: Worst hotel I've ever been to. The main issue was the heat. Went there on the 12th of August to see the eclipse so it was hot. Saw the rating 4.3 on maps and 8.1 on booking, and it was the only one available near the eclipse area with a reasonable price so I thought it would be ok... Nope! There was no AC, only a fan which did literally nothing. The room was on the 2nd floor just under the roof, the sun hit it all day and the window was tiny. We could barely sleep 3 nights and we left a day early even though we had paid for it. It's better to pay for a different room than to stay in this sauna. Also, we had to close the window on the last night, because there was a chance of rain and the window is on the roof so if it rained the room would get wet (already had felt some rain drops get inside earlier during the day when it rained a bit). So, we couldn't open the window to get some fresh air and it was like 20 degrees out a nice cool weather with rain, inside was probably 30something. We tried leaving the door open (which is a safety issue) but because there are no windows in the corridors either, there was no air flow coming from anywhere. My throat started hurting the 3rd night because I would sweat in my sleep and then the fan air would hit me as I was sweaty. And I woke up with a very dry throat each morning. If I was a Spanish citizen I'd actually file a complaint... I'd recommend for your sanity and health, just stay away! Also the reception was usually closed, and it was high season!! (Apart from the eclipse there are festivities in siguenza in August, the hotel was fully booked). If you wanted to reach them in some way you had to call, which if you don't have a Spanish number costs! Also, the receptionists didn't speak English. Actually one of the 2 could speak some basic phrases so this helped a bit. PS they didn't even change our towels 3 nights there. How this hotel is considered 3 star and has 4.3/8.
