    Great budget hotel!

Liked: Great little budget hotel. I had a large double room with lots of storage space and a very comfy bed. Bathroom was also a good size with great shower. Tapas and beer in the busy bar downstairs was great. The bar was full of Spaniards, no tourists here. Great atmosphere. Free parking for our two motorbikes in the garage below.

Disliked: Not much. Only very minor criticism is that the rooms are a little dated, but who cares when you're paying €45 a night!

    Perfect Stop for Bikers!

Liked: Incredible value for money, locked garage parking for motorbikes (so easy to sleep when your bike is locked away!) and a clean, comfortable twin room with a balcony overlooking the street. The shower was wonderfully hot and high pressured, perfect after a long day on the bike. I also ate here after a lovely nap. The restaurant was absolutely bouncing, the food was delicious (I had tapas) and the staff were busy busy but still friendly. 100% recommend if you are in the area, especially bikers.

    One night in Tabernas

Liked: Spacious clean room. Friendly staff easy check in and out. No cards to put in slots, but old fashioned key. Great restaurant serving menu del día and menu del noche. If you come on Sunday, be prepared for a bit of a wait and that they might run out of certain things. Great value for money.

Disliked: The noise level in the rooms, but it went quiet by midnight. The bed was a bit hard for my liking.

Trekking the sites of many spaghetti westerns

Liked: Cosy, spacious double room with a bathroom, located near local amenities. There are excellent landscapes nearby for trekking. The Tabernas Desert (more accurately a semi-desert, as there are plenty of shrubs and trees) is a famous filming location used by many spaghetti western directors, including Sergio Leone’s trilogy. There are three film sets to visit, and it is great fun exploring buildings such as the saloon, the sheriff’s office, and the bank. A real gem for spaghetti western enthusiasts. Unfortunately, the Tabernas castle was closed to visitors during my stay due to ongoing restoration work.

Disliked: Room facing the main road was far too noisy, with traffic and people chatting early in the morning, otherwise it would have been an excellent stay. No one at reception in the morning to ask some questions to.

    Viva el Puente!

Liked: Apart from the room being clean and comfortable the massive perk is that the rooms are above the best ‘taberna’ in Tabernas! Sit inside or outside and take your time to enjoy the tasty food the ladies in the kitchen prepare daily, excellent tap beer and the lively, lovely local atmosphere. Being in Tabernas, eventually you start thinking you might be in a movie yourself…..

    Little gem of a place

Liked: Everything was perfect. We needed one night in Tabernas to go on a tour of the desert and found Hostal el Puente. We arrived at noon: had coffee, checked in, had lunch (went on our tour), had a beer, had dinner and then went to bed all at the Hostal. Everyone was so friendly. Room was huge and comfortable with an a/c unit that was almost silent. Hostal is on the main thoroughfare through town and is very popular indeed - the terrace was always crowded. Incredible value for money. Terrific place.

    Disliked: Everything was perfect.
