  Mosquito bites and too hot

  Liked: The location is incredible. And the staff is very nice

  Disliked: They have to adapt to hotter summers, they can either put mosquito nets on the windows so the guests can leave the windows open or the can install fans, but the don’t have air conditioning or fans and the house only option they offer to deal with the mosquitoes (that trust me they’re plenty) is bug spray that if you have a baby or someone with allergies is a non-usable solution, plus all of those products tend to be a bit toxic so is not like you can spray no-stop.

  Lovely hotel, people and breakfast but would benefit from some form of A/C

  Liked: We found the hotel very easily and were able to park on the grass right opposite. We were welcomed at the gate and checking in was quick and efficient as I'd done the pre-check-in online already. The room was an ok size, certainly big enough for the two of us and it was very clean. I would say it is an old house converted to a hotel and so some could say it looks dated but really it just had character and was a lovely building. It is a bit of a walk into the port but worth it. We had breakfast which was great. Home made jam and cakes along with a good selection of other cold buffet items.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, with no air-con the room was quite warm and so for a short time we had the window open and I then spent quite some time chasing mosquitos until I though I'd got them all but still suffered with multiple bites for the next few days. Be prepared! I'd still recommend this hotel though especially if it wasn't quite as hot (there was a heatwave at the time)

  Comfortable and clean

  Liked: The location allows you to enjoy a nice walk into town. The room was quiet, conformable and clean. The staff were friendly. We really enjoyed staying here. The breakfast was also great.
