  Everything was good with a little outside patio

  Liked: Location was great, short walk to bars and restaurants. Parking was tricky but we found a great spot just minutes away. The apartment is on a gentle slope. Patio is quiet with birds chirping.

  Disliked: I was a bit confused with the number 18 in the email, it was number 7 on the door! But found it eventually 😀

  Liked: Location and, given the circumstances, relatively clean.

  Disliked: Perhaps it is a language barrier (I had to use g translate for the whole conversation) but the owner's attitude seemed a bit overbearing at some point. And I can't remember being asked "to remove all the trash during my stay" by a host. Ever. Perhaps they dealt with some nasty clients, so I can somewhat understand that request. Maybe that is why you need to make a 80€ deposit on a separate platform, otherwise you won't get the address, even if you payed your booking fee. The money isn't taken from your account, though, unless the host decides to, after you leave. But I can get over all of those with no problem whatsoever. What I couldn't get over was the unbearable smell of black mold - and the presence of it. I understand that the humidity in the area is very high and I assume it is pretty difficult to maintain a dry space, but the presence and smell of black mold (especially in the bathroom) was so strong that we could barely sleep. The bed itself folds from a closet and I assume it's not getting dry, but the sheets, although clean, were very damp! And the smell of mold seemed to come from everywhere, especially from under the bed. Also our clothes smelled pretty bad after leaving the place. I understand the host makes great effort to keep the place up but sorry, I don't recommend it due to serious health hazards. If the mold issue would be resolved, it would actually be a very nice place! I really believe they did the best they could but the health aspect is insufficient, unfortunately.

  Loved it!

  Liked: Centrally situated. Very comfortable and clean. The little patio was pleasant to sit in and most of the time we had it to ourselves.
