  Great location very nice apartment

  Liked: This lovely apartment is ideally located in Tarifa old Town it is close to many bars and restaurants. In fact some just in the square outside the main gate. The apartment is well equipped with everything you could need for a stay in fact I would say the best number of toiletries and essentials for a stay anywhere we have experienced. The bed was comfy but pillow a bit hard for us. There is a water filter system on the tap so no need to buy bottled water which we thought was an excellent addition. In fact the kitchen although small was very well equipped. There is a little courtyard outside the property also which was comfortable.

  Disliked: We accessed the keys via a lock box, but the apartment had a communal door to enter before you get to the apartment we couldn't open the door with the key provided. We contacted the host who I would say responded immediately but only told us to try to use key slower and that others had no issue getting in. We managed after about half an hour. However, we ended up leaving a night earlier as we had trouble locking and unlocking this door on several occasions and was worried about being locked out (we had to get assistance from other residents to get in the first night) and we were due to fly home the next day. The host didn't back to us as quickly the next day so we moved apartments. She did offer a refund for the second night initially but then retracted and gave us 50% of the second night back as she said no others had trouble. All we needed was to be given a different key and had that been done on our first day we would have stayed the second night.

  Would not recommend this place!!

  Liked: Host was very responsive and apartment seem to be cleaned, location was awesome just few steps away from old town, those are the only positive things I can say about this place

  Disliked: Now the bad things: Internet was not working, tv was not working since internet was not working, no cell service inside, cockroaches (I did attached picture) hundreds of ants were coming out of a small hole in the ceiling and traveling through kitchen to bathroom (I've sent videos to host, unfortunately I can't upload video here), smelled like sewage outside on the patio, I have addressed everything with the host, she did have someone come our last morning to fix the smell outside ( not sure if it was fixed) parking is in a different building about 10min walk also that's where to pool is, we couldn't use the parking because we couldn't get inside with out SUV (too tight) so we ended up paying for private parking. The worst part was the host that told me to go and buy with my own money bug spray and kill them (like its my responsibility) and that cockroaches are normal there, if that's the case then you have to mention that in your description, then I would not rent this place, extremely disappointed with the host, place has a potential if those things would be fixed, I hate to write a bad review but I want people to be aware of things that might come up.
