  Disappointing, Not worth it

  Liked: Good location, but not worth the noise discomfort that accompanies it.

  Disliked: The property was unfortunately in a very poor condition. It was not clean on arrival, and there appears to be a serious moisture and ventilation problem. There was visible mould in multiple areas of the apartment, accompanied by a strong musty smell throughout. As someone with asthma, I experienced chest discomfort while staying in the apartment, which made the accommodation particularly unsuitable for me. The excessive moisture also meant that the bedding felt damp when we arrived, and there was mould behind the pillows on the beds. The apartment was also extremely noisy, with constant noise throughout the day and night, making it very difficult to get any proper sleep. Most of the noise comes from the bar located next door, where cars and people still leave in the early morning hours. Because the apartment did not feel hygienic, we even kept our shoes on indoors, including when using the shower. To make the room more bearable, we had to sleep with the door open every night to improve ventilation. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I believe the property’s condition needs to be addressed before it is offered to future guests.

  Not worth the money, not luxury as all. Facilities are shabby

  Liked: Lovely location and nice big rooms, bed very comfortable too.

  Disliked: The apartment was very cld, we were there in December. The bathroom is very shabby as is the kitchen. The windows are so old they don’t seal and let the cold in. The images on Booking.com are from years ago, nothing has been replaced or refurbished for a very long time. This property is not Luxury by a long shot. Overpriced for what it is.

  Beautiful building in great need of professionals

  Liked: The guest house was magnificent as a building and the location excellent.

  Disliked: The apartment we had payed for looked very fashionable on pictures. However it was unfit for living (no hot water, rotten wood in doorframes, mold and stench). Relaying that state to our host he/she immediately offered us another apartment in the same guest house. Unfortunately that apartment lacked a living room and a good sized dinner table as well as dishwasher. Floors were generally very dirty, even in the renovated large size bathroom you could see which parts of the new mosaic tiles had been mopped and which parts had simply been regularly omitted. The washing machine that guest could use was located on the roof terrace and not available most of the time, since the host had left it with dirty linen occupying it for days (a good recipe for mold). On the roof terrace you could enjoy fantastic views of Tarifa and Africa sitting on a sofa. Unfortunately I was not aware of that the sofa cushions had been left on their own during previous rain showers, so I had to change my trousers after having tried that sofa. The kitchen lacked basic kitchenware, like plates, cork screw, and so on. It was decorated with an old broken kettle, but had an electric kettle which was almost in order. Our stay was adventurous, but it was not what we had payed for. To advertise it as a luxury apartment was misleading indeed.
