Exceptional
Wonderful characterful quiet place with a stunning cliff-top stetting in nature
Liked: Characterful building and rooms, in a superb quite cliff-top setting in the nature reserve with a stunning views of the coast over to Africa. Just a 15 minute walk into the old part of Tarifa town on a footpath (though rough and steep in places). Very friendly and helpful manager who collected me from the bus station.
Disliked: Only minor things, like problems with closing some window shutters, smallish kitchen and bathroom.

Liked: The place has an amazing vibe and location. The beauty of the building and setting was overwhelming. It was perfect for a group of swimmers, with great shared spaces for self catering and organising gear and location a short walk from the port. The host was friendly and accomodating and became part of our group and added to our experience in Tarifa.
Disliked: Nothing.

It's hard to understand how this house has received such a high rating
Liked: The sea view is breathtaking.
Disliked: The house is a 15-minute walk from the town center, but the return walk is steep and challenging, especially in the heat or after dark. The terraces are shared by all guests. The house is very old (37 years) and apparently hasn't been renovated since it was built. There is no air conditioning and no wardrobe. Instead, there are old wooden dressers and a few clothes hangers. There aren't even mosquito screens on the windows, although there are plenty of mosquitoes.
