Great 3 star hotel in Torrevieja
Liked: Hotel Torrejoven is a perfect location for days in the sun in Torrevieja area. It's entrance is located on a side street from the national road Alicante - Cartagena. Check-in process went swift and quick. It offers own parking space on a fenced and locked surface 5 minutes away or you can park on the street. In our weeklong stay we had no trouble finding a spot on one of the streets around the hotel. The room was very spacious, with a big wardrobe to accommodate clothes and a spacious bath. As far as we saw, every room has a balcony (not big, but welcome especially for smokers) with a side view towards the sea. Mattress was firm and pillows fine. Spotless cleanliness was maintained in the room and bath. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise concerning variety of savory produce and fresh fruit on offer (keep in mind we are in a 3 * hotel). There was no big variation, but again the quality was good. In our opinion, it is very hard to get around without a rented car. Most certainly, there are buses connecting you to multiple destinations, but for those who love lying in the sun on a nice beach, it's difficult to travel like that. There are several restaurants in walking distance for all tastes and budgets. The reception desk staff gave us some indications in this respect and they were very good.
Disliked: In terms of breakfast, the coffee from the machine was almost undrinkable (poor quality of the coffee). Another aspect that is not at its best, is the pool. It is located in a small courtyard, there are only a couple of sunchairs (around 10 or so). The pool itself is quite generous, but the space around it is quite narrow. We did not use the pool at all.

Disliked: Too much egg on breakfast menu needs more variety. Parking is very difficult.
Hotel could use a total remodel, but good value for money
Liked: Very basic, but clean. Easy street parking. Fair breakfast.
Disliked: Only one electric socket by the bed. No soundproofing at all, one could hear all the hall and neighboring rooms noise.
