Exceptional
Communication with the host was easy; everything arranged via Whatsapp. I truly enjoyed my stay
Liked: A large apartment with all the necessary facilities in a quiet neighbourhood.
Disliked: No heating (the wether was colder than usual) but that's probably normal for that part of Spain.
It was delightful
Liked: Had everything we needed, was comfortable and cozy.
Disliked: We were confused about the terrace ( it said we had a terrace but it was in from if another room). And the upper shower was a bit confusing.
Super stay in a lovely apartment & wonderful Tossa de Mar
Liked: The apartment is exactly as described and shown on Booking.com & easily accessed by a texted code & lock-box. It was more than spacious enough for my wife & I. I'd expect it would be ok for young children too. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked of utensils. The air-con unit was good, although we were there in late September, so can't speak for the hotter months. The location was ok for us as we had a hire car. I'd say it would be a 20-25 minute walk to the old town depending on your fitness levels. Other than 1 night of our weeks' stay, we managed to park on the same road as the apartment just before the pedestrian crossing at the top of the street (the other night, we parked just around the corner). The town of Tossa is lovely, especially the old town which is beautiful, with plenty of shops, bars & restaurants (if visiting the stunning castle, either choose a cooler day, or take the quaint little 'road-train', as it's a steep old climb:-) When venturing out of Tossa for days out, we preferred heading north as opposed to the bustling southern towns of Loret de Mar & Blanes. Within 30-40 minutes north are the beautiful seaside towns of Calella de Palafrugell & Fornells. Just inland is the lovely village of Begur, with it's medieval castle perched high above the charming village. All in all, I'd highly recommend a stay at Apartments L'Amfora when staying in Tossa de Mar.
Disliked: I'd say another mirror is definitely required in the master bedroom at least. as opposed to just the one in the bathroom (which obviously gets steamed up). A toaster would have been a nice addition as we couldn't operate the oven / grill (even after downloading the pdf instructions!) I'm sure if we'd have asked, the host would have told us how it worked, so that's on us & just a minor observation, not a criticism. There are various workshops etc dotted around close to the apartment, but I can't recall them being a nuisance to us.
